Create an eye-catching animate videos for T-Mobile to showcase either of two new products, the Onyx Studio 8 Speaker or the Arlo Go 2 Security Camera, and keep to the creative and dynamic feel that has grown to be synonymous with T-Mobile.
T-Mobile offers a lot of good products, but not everybody is familiar with the latest devices --- especially as we live in a time when a new one comes out every month. T-Mobile wants to highlight these products in short videos so that, when their employees jump onto social media, they can post some dope content. With that in mind then, we're looking for animators, illustrators, and other design wizards who can create something elevated, unexpected, polished, and relevant but mainly cool enough to have employees upload it to their own social channels.
The goal of this project is for you to create one video to promote either of two T-Mobile products, which we'll get into below. The content needs to be bright, energetic, and eye-catching, and it should convey something about the key features of the products - without a ton of messaging. Videos can be anywhere from :05 to :20, but know that when they're used, they'll LOOP, so it'd be cool if you plan to incorporate that.
What are these new products? Whether we're working hard, playing hard, or off on some adventure, we all love a good soundtrack, and that means we need the right speaker. For anyone looking for a portable speaker with an elegant design, the Onyx Studio 8 Speaker is the perfect foldable speaker that you can take anywhere with you, so you've got your favorite music on hand no matter what. The second product that's being featured is the ARLO Go 2, which is a security camera that's ideal for use in homes, vacation rentals, RVs, workplaces, and construction sites. It's A security camera that continues to record - even when you lose power.
Two creators will be greenlit for this project, as we are looking to have some stylistic variety, and when we say "animated," we mean that we're open to traditional motion graphics and 2D, but also stop motion, 3D, papercraft, mixed media, or something else entirely. It's up to you if you want to submit for both products or just one. Remember, T-Mobile's got a distinct voice that is vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, but still professional. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, even a little quirky. You can find two previous social posts here. Any videos their employees put their name on must embody that spirit, so this isn't just about putting white text on a magenta background - these need to be dynamic and have a lot of character; to surprise and delight. They're also not "ads," and should feel more casual than that.
For your pitch, we highly recommend submitting a proof of concept video or static image along with your treatment, and remember we're looking for unique and creative ways to help T-Mobile employees keep their social game fresh and give their followers something to talk about. You can use the Onyx Studio 8 Speaker and ARLO Go 2 image assets here to showcase their slick designs and the incredible features these devices have to offer. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.
