Using primarily motion graphics, create two social videos and one still image that highlight WW's legacy of helping people lose weight over the decades and drive people to sign up for the program.

Let's be real - it feels like new weight loss trends pop up all the time. One day it's intermittent fasting, the next it's keto, and before you know it, you're eating like a caveman on the paleo diet. But when it comes to sustainable weight loss, the "new thing" isn't always better.

In that sense, WW / Weight WeightWatchers isn't trying to be trendy. Instead, they're focused on what really works. For nearly 60 years, WW has helped millions of people lose weight. Over that time, they've innovated and improved their program based on the latest in nutritional and behavioral science. The WW app has been updated, and the program has evolved to fit the needs of members. But, at the end of the day, WeightWatchers has always been a sustainable, flexible path to weight loss rooted in the power of community. No cutting out food groups, no extreme dieting, no one-size fits all approach. The WW program is customized to each individual's food preferences, and everything is on the menu, allowing members to not only lose the weight, but also keep it off.

To help honor WW's legacy as the #1 best diet for weight loss, WW is looking to create two social videos and one still image that ultimately drive new members to sign up for WW. These assets should primarily be driven by motion graphics, highlight the modernity of the WW program, and show how far it has evolved over the years. In other words, this isn't your grandma's WW!

WW's looking for creative concepts that are simple, short, punchy, and attention-grabbing. For inspiration, be sure to watch this "Dub Dub Club" video and check out this Instagram post. Tonally, these are great references for what WW is going for! Also make sure to check out WW's Instagram to get a sense of their brand tone of voice.

For your sample video, please create one up-to-:15 social video (1x1) that highlights one of WW's key messages (found in the Background section) that speaks to the efficacy of the WW program in a creative and punchy way. You can access WW's font HERE and color guide HERE. Your sample video should both tell a story and be designed for social media distribution. Be sure to use platform best practices for whatever format you choose.

Check out more information in the Background, and for any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Pinterest does NOT allow the explicit mention of weight loss on its platform. While you cannot speak directly about weight loss on Pinterest, you CAN talk about weight loss on Facebook. As a result, you might need to slightly tweak your creative concepts to adhere to each platform's specific rules.
  •  Never use “lose weight fast” or any phrase that implies rapid weight loss.
  • WW is NOT a diet plan – it’s a way of living healthily and mindfully. Avoid “diet” as a verb and “dieter.” Also avoid words associated with dieting, such as “yo-yo.”
  • Leverage on-screen text to reinforce messaging. Make sure the text is big enough to be seen on mobile.
  • On-screen copy should be no more than 125 characters total in a single frame (preferably fewer).
  • Use creative text to convey what the video is for and grab the viewer's attention within the first 5-seconds.
  • Videos must be informed by Facebook & Instagram Best Practices.
