Edit a total of three 7-10 second videos for NESCAFÉ® CLÁSICO™ using existing assets. Two of the videos will be for Instagram Stories and one will be for Facebook "News Feed."
For those of you who might be unfamiliar, NESCAFÉ® CLÁSICO™ is the leading coffee for Latinos in the U.S. It is 100% pure coffee, made from a blend of selected coffee beans, carefully roasted to capture its full flavor and aroma.
NESCAFÉ® CLÁSICO™ is enlisting the Tongal community to re-edit some of their existing assets to create two 9:16 7-10 second videos for Instagram Stories and one 4:5 7-10 second video for Facebook "News Feed."
Please read the remainder of the brief for all the important details on this exciting editing opportunity.
The goal of this project is to utilize the provided assets from NESCAFÉ® CLÁSICO™ to create two 9:16 7-10 second videos for Instagram Stories and one 4:5 7-10 second video for Facebook "News Feed." It is important that each video complies with the best practices for each platform. You can download the assets here.
Creative Direction and Assets
Videos need to be product-centric spots that emphasize the quality of the ingredients. To that end, you should utilize the ingredient shots while also driving thirst appeal. A secondary goal is to show human reactions to the product whether it be an individual or in a social setting.
One of the main assets is their 60-second spot. Since this spot is letterboxed and we need assets that are both full 9:16 and 4:5, editors will need to get creative on how they will fill out the black parts of the frame. You can do a blow-up which is certainly an option but the Sponsor is also open to other approaches like using split screen/multi-screen to conform the videos to the proper aspect ratios and/or utilizing text, motion graphics, or anything else that will simultaneously fill out the frame and enhance the messaging.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must first submit a sample Instagram Stories video utilizing the provided assets (You can download the assets here.). Please make sure your sample video complies with the Creative Direction and Executional mandatories outlined above. Based on these samples the Sponsor will select the winning editor who will cut all 3 videos.
--Executional Mandatories:
--Exposure: Instagram Stories and Facebook "News Feed."
This Project will be worth a total of $3,000 and consists of four Phases: A Pitch Phase, a Video Phase, and a Revisions Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

--Video Phase Payout: Upon submitting Videos that satisfy the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, completing Sponsor notes, providing the necessary release forms, and providing all assets required by the sponsor the Pitch winner will receive a final payment of $1,500.
--Music: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound, any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.
If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from third-party catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with your license purchase receipt when you turn in your Video paperwork.
PHASE 3: REVISIONS – Once the Video Phase has closed, the winning submitters will enter the Revisions Phase (What is a Revisions Phase?). During this phase, filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their Videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.
PHASE 4: ASSETS DELIVERY - If requested you must also provide all project files, editing sequences, and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec in order to submit final payment.
