Here’s your chance to document 5 people's journeys as they experience exclusive access to a program with a holistic approach to developing a healthier lifestyle (from one of the world’s most recognized and trusted programs for weight loss)!
***This Mystery Sponsor WILL connect each Pitch winner with 5 program participants. Pitch winners WILL NOT need to source or bring in participants for this project. HOWEVER, please note that ALL program participants will be located in the New York/New Jersey area. If you Pitch for this project, you should be located in the NY/NJ area OR plan to travel to the area several times over the production timeline. No additional budget will be provided for travel expenses.***
***The Pitch Phase has been extended to May 26, 2015.***
The goal of this project is to document 5 real stories of people who are starting their weight loss journeys – over the course of 5 months – then share their progress toward their goals and transformation! Your 2-minute video (and 15-second cut-down) of their journey will showcase success of the program while providing hope and inspiration to others who are thinking about taking the first step toward healthier living.
All 5 participants whose stories you will be documenting will be provided by this Mystery Sponsor and ALL 5 WILL BE LOCATED IN THE NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY area. The final Video could contain all 5 participants, a couple standouts, or focus on one person in particular. As you capture footage, you'll have the opportunity to work with this Mystery Sponsor to develop the best story possible out of the five initial participants.
Insight: When it comes to losing weight and getting healthier, consumers are no longer inspired by a celebrity’s “Before” and “After” shot. They want to see the real deal: real women they can relate to, real struggles similar to their own and real progress that gives them the hope they need to start their own journey. That’s why this Mystery Sponsor wants to capture the real journey to inspire people to sign up.
Your video should document the individual’s experience in three phases, outlined below:
This project has one kick off call with the brand and one mid-way point check in call to discuss progress.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS PROJECT: The 2-minute video and 15-second cut-down are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos. Filmmakers will also be required to provide a selection of stills from the footage for the brand to select up to 6 images to use in earned media (PR), digital, print, and social. In addition, filmmakers may be asked to share all RAW footage on a drive provided by the Sponsor at the close of the project.
--Target Audience: Women ages 35-54 who are interested in losing weight and have tried to lose weight on their own, via free apps or other information (e.g. diet books, fitness magazines, blogs, meal replacements, etc.). They may have also tried a commercial weight loss program in the past, but they are not currently on one.
--Tone: Uplifting, positive, hopeful, optimistic and upbeat. Authentic and relatable.
--Exposure: Intended for use in earned media (PR), on digital and social channels, and potentially as part of a larger advertising strategy upon launch of Sponsor’s new program.
--Product: New members who agree to be filmed over the 5 months and stick to the program will receive the brand new program to try for FREE!
--Talent: This Mystery Sponsor will select 5 program participants and share them with the Pitch winners. The final deliverables may contain all 5 participants' stories, a couple of standouts or focus on one. As you capture footage, you'll have the opportunity to work with this Mystery Sponsor to develop the best story possible out of the five initial participants.

--Additional information: Specific information about the brand and program will be made available to the Pitch winners.
This Project will be worth a total of $90,000 and consists of TWO Phases: a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:
The four most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $10,000 to help create the Video. Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winners will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $10,000, at a minimum, and have a chance to compete for the $20,000 First Place video prize. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.
PHASE 2: VIDEO – The four winners from the Pitch Phase will each create a 2-minute Video (with a 15-second cut-down) based upon their winning Pitch. Winners will have a pre-pro call with Sponsor to align to vision and review any project limitations.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS PROJECT: The 2-minute video and 15-second cut-down are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos. Filmmakers will also be required to provide a selection of stills from the footage for the brand to select up to 6 images to use in earned media (PR), digital and social. In addition, filmmakers may be asked to share all RAW footage on a drive provided by the Sponsor at the close of the project.
The Judges will score the four winning Videos submitted by Pitch winners to determine the standings for the Video Phase. Remember, the two Pitch winners will receive prizes.
--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $20,000 and 2nd place $10,000 and 3rd place $10,000 and 4th place $10,000.
--Music: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audioblocks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of these can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. You may use up to THREE total tracks per Video submission, and they can come from any of the three providers listed above. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.
If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.
--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee equal to 5% of the amount won. That’s a potential $1,000 in bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this Project! Check out more about our Referral Program in FAQ.
