Help us define the future of digital storytelling and holiday season interactive stories using voice-activated devices! 

Over 40% of adults now use voice search once per day and 60.5 million Americans use a voice-activated assistant device at least once a month.  With the children of today’s generation being raised entirely in the digital age, and used to skyping, texting, swiping, and digital voices, will the future of digital voices be something this generation comes to love? Will something more innovative come along? Anything is possible.

This is where we need your help, to “dream & think big.”  Let’s try to give parents and caregivers the idea of replacing this familiar request at bedtime: “Hey Mom, can you tell me a story?” with something a little more pro-active and collaborative, like: “Hey Alexa, let’s make a story!”

How about Holiday time? How can voice-activated devices help tell Christmas stories? How can we help create holiday type content (facts, jokes, stories from Santa, Elves, Mrs. Claus, Hanukkah Harry) that are triggered by phrases, like a virtual calendar? A daily message from Santa designed for a specific child, age-appropriate, etc... 

Think big with this one for whatever type of content you dream of!

The goal of this project is to brainstorm the future of Holiday storytelling with voice-activated devices like Amazon’s Alexa, Microsoft’s Cortana, Apple’s Siri and Google Home.

How can we utilize Santa, his Elves, or Hanukkah Harry for people to use their voice-activated devices to create stories and produce content? What does that even look like? Use your imagination, this is just concepting so there are no boundaries…!

--Executional Mandatories: Your idea must utilize a voice-activated device to create a story or produce content with a voice-activated device, incorporate holidays into the ideas.

--Tone:  Holiday season (Christmas & Hanukkah), Family-friendly (aka: no porn). 

Tell us your Concept for digital storytelling using voice-activated digital services in 250 characters or less. Remember, an Concept  (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Concepts should be clever and engaging. The winning Concept creators will receive $250.

4. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.

5. Submissions must not portray the Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.

6. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

7. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.

10. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.

11. In the event that fewer than 25 Concepts are received, the Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest for up to fourteen (14) days at their discretion.
