Calling all Tongalers! We are looking for YOUR Stories and experiences of your work that was "Made on Tongal".

“Made on Tongal” is a campaign we’re developing to celebrate & amplify Tongal’s Mission: discovering and developing creative opportunities and bringing them to talented people everywhere.  For this campaign, we want to emphasize how this mission has brought new experiences and opportunities, and created new THINGS IN THE WORLD.  We want it to reflect the community and the experience of being part of the whole Tongal family & phenomenon.

…Yeah, kinda like the old pictures-on-cork-board at your local bar – with the new babies, the bass-boats, the Xmas parties and etc.

But this is the GLOBAL TONGAL CORKBOARD!  And we make a LOT of stuff!

The Tongal community now creates more than 200,000 submissions per year, and has completed more than ___ videos, so it’s easy to interpret “Made on Tongal” merely as final the output of Tongal projects.  There’s a lot there, to be sure!

But we know that the Tongal phenomenon (the company, the community, the sponsors, the work, the results) is also much more than that.  And the more we thought about all the different kinds of good things that get made on Tongal, the more we thought it would be fun to invite everyone who has been part of this experience to share their own stories for this campaign.  That’s why we’re inviting you to share with us:

What have YOU made on Tongal?

Should be FUN, right?  …But before you answer, we want to encourage you to be as broad in your thinking about the “what” for this question as possible.  …Which is to say that we’re not merely looking for success stories – but also stories where you’ve personally experienced – or noticed -- when something great has come into being.  What was it like for you in the moment when you knew it happened?

Think about:

-Memories

-Videos (sure, why not?)

-New Skills

-New Respect

-Acting Debuts (and really, debuts of any kind)

-Connections

-Friendships (Families?)

-Careers (and Career Moves)

-New Companies, New Equipment, New GROWTH

-Works of Art

-Heroes

-Characters

-Punchlines

-Conversations (with your parents, friends, coworkers)

-Masterpieces (if you do say so yourself)

-Parties!

-Confidence / Assurance / Reassurance

-Travel!

..and last but not least:

-Experiences

We saved Experiences for last because that’s where we want you to focus on all of these.  For this project, we really want to get to the heart of things: your experiences, and especially, your heart.

This Campaign Will Take Shape Based on Your Stories

We intend for this campaign to endure for a year (or more!), and develop based on the material we gather from you. So we’re keeping the overall frame for the project flexible.   First off, we want to read your true Tongal Stories!!

This Project will be worth a total of $2,000 and consists of one Phase: a Story Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: STORY- Tell us about your “Made on Tongal” experiences.  We’ll set the character limit at 500, and you can make up to 5 submissions. The winning Story creators will receive $500 each.

Try to spread out the kind of experiences or achievements you share.  Overall, variety will be one of our goals as we tell this story.

As noted above, give us your experience – but make your story relatable for a broader audience.  Of course we’re celebrating and sharing these experiences within the Tongal community – but we also want to share them with the general public, and with prospective clients who are curious about why we’re having so much fun and getting so much great work done.

NOTE: If your Story is choosen as the one of the winning Stories, we may ask you to record (VO only) your story at a later date.
