Attention all writers, creative thinkers, artists, and animators! The Little Red Truck Licensing Group wants your help in building out a world and creating new designs for the symbol of their company – the Little Red Truck – which will ultimately be translated into a short form YouTube animated series.
The Little Red Truck Licensing Group is looking to bring their company’s logo to life. They envision the protagonist as a personified car, but are looking to build up a whole world and cast of characters that will eventually be developed into an ongoing short form animated series on YouTube.
First, we’re looking to see Concepts of how you imagine a series about the Little Red Truck. The next phase is pitching off the Winning Concepts to create a Story Bible, which will include visual representations and written descriptions that develop our understanding about a Little Red Truck series. A future separate project will pertain directly to the series production.
The Sponsor envisions the Little Red Truck character being a personified car, but they are open to different POVs on how this could actually function. Do think about a cast of multiple kinds of vehicles led by the Little Red Truck.
In an internal brainstorm, the Little Red Truck team came up with one idea that they were drawn to (see below). They are open to you expanding upon this idea, but they’re also COMPLETELY open and excited to see wholly original Concepts.
LRT Concept Option
Title: Little Red Truck’s Garage
The Little Red Truck’s home base is a garage / auto shop where a woman or man is the mechanic who runs the shop and manages the vehicles that come in and out in need of repair. This allows for a new adventure every day, fun interactions between characters, and a fusion of the old (nostalgic) & new (futuristic).
Or come up with your own Concept! Be creative!
The primary objective of this Project is to generate a Story Bible that captures the essence of the Little Red Truck character and builds out the world around him/her in a way that we can apply to a future short form YouTube animated series.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Kid 4-6
CHARACTER: Looking for characters that are inherently “toyetic,” meaning they can be easily translated into toy and consumer products.
TONE: Emotional and educational connection, problem solving
