Pepsi and Papa John’s are looking for one creator to create TWO (2) 15 second Videos that will build awareness and promote the limited edition Fritos® Chili Pizza at Papa John’s as well as Pepsi products.

The rule of three suggests that when things come in threes, they’re just better. Proven through examples such as Boyz II Men, BLTs and three-piece suits, it must be true right? While we haven’t figured out a way to test it out scientifically, Pepsi, Frito-Lay and Papa John’s have figured out a way to taste it out.

We all know that Fritos® pies are mouth wateringly delicious with their warm, goopy yet crunchy taste that keeps you coming back for more and we all know that Papa John’s pizza is top of the line, fresh, and has the best cheese, sauce and crust ratio… now imagine eating that delicious combination of flavors and washing it down with an ice cold glass of Pepsi... now that’s a meal!

Well the pizza, snack and drink powerhouse trifecta have come together to provide a “better pizza” with “better ingredients” for a limited time with the Fritos® Chili Pizza. Paired with a glass of Pepsi, your Monday Night football gatherings will never be the same.

Now we know that this is mind-blowing news and you may want to take a few moments to digest the information, but there's no time. This project requires you to move FAST. You have just 48 hours to Pitch, and Videos are due by Monday, October 27th.

What you need to know:

  • Since there is no Idea Phase, please make sure your concept comes through clearly in your Pitch.
  • When crafting your Pitch, keep in mind that you will not have samples of the actual product during production. However you will be required to show: 2-Liter Pepsi Bottles, Papa John's Pizza Boxes, Fritos® Corn Chips Bags.
  • You should be Pitching on how you would create TWO (2) 15 second Videos for Pepsi and Papa John’s.
  • You will be required to create or add an end card to your Video.
  • When mentioning Fritos® alone (not the official Frito® Chili Pizza name), please try to include "Corn Chips" when describing the product. For example: Check out the Fritos® Chili Pizza with Fritos® Corn Chips.

The goal of this project is to create TWO (2) engaging and buzzworthy 15 second Videos that will build awareness and promote the limited edition Fritos® Chili Pizza at Papa John’s as well as Pepsi products.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute TWO (2) 15 second Videos for Pepsi and Papa John’s:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Script (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.
  • Treatment (Optional): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.
  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Headshots/Casting Boards (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $5,000 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $7,500. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 2: VIDEO – The winner from the Pitch Phase will create TWO (2) 15 second Videos based upon his/her winning Pitch.

--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $7,500.

--Music: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audiosocket, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project.
