Lenovo is looking to create a suite of FOUR (4) fun and sharable 15-second Videos showing off the key features of the SHAREit and REACHit apps and how they can make your life easier.

We've all faced our share of pain-in-the-ass file transfer and file access moments...

Shuttering at the flashback of wanting to share a huge folder with a friend but can’t find a USB drive (yikes!)... or at dinner with friends when your boss emails you for a file you know is on the desktop of your computer (ALL THE WAY AT WORK)... or spending 10 minutes trying to find a funny photo on your phone and by the time you find the photo, the joke's OVER.

Lenovo has two apps, SHAREit and REACHit, that work together to make sure the nightmares listed above don’t happen again!

SHAREit (available for Android, iOS and Windows PCs) lets you quickly share any type of file, any number of files, any size of files, directly from one device to another – super fast. We’ve seen speeds up to 1GB in 30 seconds (now THAT'S FAST). It can use an existing Wi-Fi network or create it’s own hotspot – meaning you don’t have to have an Internet connection, and even if there’s no Wi-Fi around, SHAREit can connect to any other device on its own network. (Download Link)

REACHit (also available for Android, iOS and Windows PCs) gives you easy access to all your stuff, all in one place. You can connect multiple devices and cloud storage accounts in one app to see and manage all your content (meaning it's compatible with Google Drive, Drop Box, OneDrive and BOX… YES!!!). You can access any device while you’re on the go, for example sharing a file from your home PC with a friend or colleague, while you’re accessing it from a mobile device. (Download Link)

Working with Tongal, Lenovo is looking to create a suite of FOUR (4) 15-second Videos showing off the key features of the SHAREit and REACHit apps and how they can make your life easier. Please read below for more information.

  • When submitting Ideas, think about submitting either an Idea for a Video on a "key feature” of the SHAREit or REACHit app or an Idea for a Video on how the SHAREit or REACHit app can make your life easier (aka life hack).
  • We are looking for ONE (1) filmmaker to create a suite of FOUR (4) 15-second Videos:
    • ONE (1) 15-second Video showing a “key feature” of SHAREit
    • ONE (1) 15-second Video showing a "life hack" of SHAREit
    • ONE (1) 15-second Video showing a “key feature” of REACHit
    • ONE (1) 15-second Video showing a "life hack" of REACHit

When submitting your Pitch please Pitch on the SUITE of FOUR (4) winning Ideas:

REACHit

  • Working From Home has a Whole New Meaning: Working from home" takes on whole new meaning w/REACHit. "Home" could be a ballpark, parade or anywhere a Ferris Bueller day might take you
  • Teleportation: The teacher asks John for his homework. John opens REACHit on his laptop, teleports to his home, pulls it off his desk, and teleports back.

SHAREit

  • Waiting, Waitng, Wait........ing: A parent is sharing pictures with a grandmother. By the time the picture uploads and is downloaded, the baby is a teenager.
  • Desert: 2 friends wander in the desert & stop. Joe opens a picture of a waterfall on his phone. With ShareIt he sends pic to friend. Both refreshed.

The goal of this project is to create a suite of FOUR (4) fun and sharable 15-second videos that show off the key features of the SHAREit and REACHit apps and how they can make your life easier!

After viewing the Videos we want viewers to have an “AHA” moment like they’ve figured out the best way to do something and like they’re masters of their content library.  We want viewers to get excited and want to introduce the apps to others.

--Target Audience: Millennial Consumers and Young Professionals.

--Executional Mandatories: Videos cannot show competing brands.

--Tone: The tone of the Videos should be fun and sharable.

--Exposure: Lenovo digital channels.

This project will be worth a total of $21,000 and consists of THREE (3) Phases: an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: IDEA  – Tell us your Idea for either a Video on a "key feature” of the SHAREit or REACHit app or Idea for a Video on how the SHAREit or REACHit app can make your life easier. Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. The winning Idea creators will receive $250 each. There are no residuals for this Idea Phase as the FOUR (4) winning Ideas will be grouped together during the Pitch Phase.

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on the suite of winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Treatment (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.
  • Script (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.
  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Headshots/Casting Boards (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $7,500 to help create the Video. Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $12,500. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The winner from the Pitch Phase will create a suite of FOUR (4) 15-second Videos based upon his/her winning Pitch.

--Video Phase Payout: Winner of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $12,500.

--Music: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audioblocks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.

Tongal members interested in a custom music solution for your project are invited to connect with SCORE A SCORE.  They specialize in the creation of custom music, on-demand.

Their business model is based on a "name your price" system, so you can tell them what your budget is, and they will work with you to create a deal configuration that will work within the discussed parameters. Check out the FAQ for more information and how to contact SCORE A SCORE.

If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.

--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee equal to 5% of the amount won up to $500 per place. Check out more about our Referral Program in FAQ.
