Team up with a small group of creators from our LEGO World Builder Pitch Fest program to edit the pitch videos they'll be submitting to try and get a greenlight on their original LEGO worlds.
LEGO World Builder is a collaborative storytelling platform where LEGO fans and creators go to develop original storyworlds (known as "Worlds" by the community) using their wide range of skills and talents. Through our Pitch Fest program, creators are given the opportunity to pitch their Worlds directly to the LEGO Group’s Entertainment Team for the chance to have their World developed into real LEGO content. Pitch videos are an important part of this process, but since these creators aren't necessarily filmmakers or editors themselves, we’re looking for 3 editors to jump in and help out a small group of creators that need assistance with their pitch videos.
These pitch videos can be no longer than 5 minutes in length, and ultimately, they're for internal purposes only, as they'll only be reviewed by the LEGO Group's Entertainment Team. With that in mind, there's no need to go too crazy on formats or editing techniques. The editing should be lightweight and not detract from the concept being pitched. Each editor will be paired with 3-4 creators, so they'll create no more than 4 videos. The creators themselves will decide how they want to format their pitch videos - either as talking-head style videos or as something driven by voice-over with artwork and images from their World pages. You'll be able to pull all of the creative assets for the pitch videos from their respective World pages, and so you know what you have to work with, here’s a prime example of a well-built World page.
Editing will involve two stages. Though the timeline seems long, most of this is actually downtime where you'll be waiting for feedback or updates, and these Worlds will be going through creative development between pitch videos, which is why the timeline is spaced out. When you are editing, you can expect 1-2 rounds of light revisions for each Deliverable.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.
The three most compelling pitches will be greenlit, and the responsible creators will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.
