In this Quick Hit project, we need a LEGO Ninjago superfan with a knack for writing to do some research on past Ninjago seasons and help develop a 3-minute script.

Do you love LEGO Ninjago? Have you been an avid viewer for seasons and seasons of the show? Then this project is for you! We're running an experimental "Quick Hit" project to source a writer who just happens to be a legit LEGO Ninjago superfan. 

Without giving too much away, we need you to do some research on past Ninjago seasons and, with that research, help us write a script for a short 3-minute animated video. You'll receive $250 if you're selected, but we have additional $1,250 budget for you to write the script. That'll make this $1,500 total, and we anticipate that we'll get moving right after we select you, but we'll work out a timeline with specific dates once someone is selected.

If this sounds interesting to you (or someone you know), submit a writing sample (ideally for a short-form animation project, but we'll take what you have!) as well as a short description of your LEGO Ninjago fandom. If you want, you can submit your fandom story in video form, but that's not required.

EXPOSURE: The final video will air on LEGO-owned social media channels

TARGET AUDIENCE: Fans of LEGO Ninjago (primarily children, but the show's been on air for ten years, so some of those kids are now young adults).

TONE: Lighthearted, playful, positive, and action-packed! This is a video aimed at children, so no profanity, controversial topics, or adult themes. 

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

• PITCH SYNOPSIS (REQUIRED): 500 characters or fewer synopsizing your writing experience. We'd love to hear if you've worked on anything that's relevant to Ninjago or the LEGO world more broadly.
  
  
• YOUR FAN STORY (REQUIRED): 500 characters or fewer describing how you came to love LEGO Ninjago, what you've seen, what you love, and what you know about the series.

• ANIMATION WRITING SAMPLE (REQUIRED): Please upload your writing sample in PDF format. We'd ideally like to see a writing sample for a short-form animation project, but we're open to whatever relevant writing sample you have on hand!
  
  
• PITCH VIDEO (Optional): If you'd like, you can tell us your LEGO Ninjago fan story in video form. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell us what we can expect should we choose you as a writer.

Upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, and any revisions required, the most compelling submission will get $250. A Tongal Producer will reach out to you afterwards to coordinate on the next steps, and what will be required for the development of the 3-minute script.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: In order to receive the additional script payment, you must provide the final script in PDF format as well as whatever working file you used to write the script (a Word doc, Final Draft doc, etc.).

1. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.
   
   
2. In the event you utilize any third-party materials, such as music provided by a third-party music provider not provided by Tongal, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third-party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal.
   
   
3. BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.
   
   
4. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.
   
   
5. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.
    
6. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.
    
7. Submissions must be in the English language.
    
8. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.
    
9. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.
   
   
10. The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest.
    
    
11. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Pitches will also be evaluated on that member's ability to execute the final script based on their prior work and experience as a writer.
    
    
12. The Sponsor will be entitled to reasonable revisions on the script without providing additional compensation.
