We’re looking for LA-based makers with awesome studios and need your help! Be they an artist, a filmmaker, a surfboard builder, a podcaster, or something else entirely – if you know someone who works out of a personal studio space, refer them to us and you could earn $250.

We’ve all daydreamed about it: rolling out of bed, throwing on our favorite comfy outfit, grabbing a ready-to-go cold brew from the fridge, and heading across the hall, into the backyard, or down the street to our personal studio where we paint, podcast, edit film, or stage photos all day. Now Tongal is looking to connect with some LA-based makers who work out of studios as awesome as they are – and we need your help finding the right people and spaces.

The goal of this project is to find amazing LA-based makers with studios as awesome as they are to participate in an upcoming photoshoot. Anyone who refers an LA-based maker with a studio that we end up working with or selecting as part of this referral project stands to earn $250. Yup, that’s $250 just for knowing the right people.

• The referrals will be judged on the following criteria: the maker must be based in LA; and you must submit a photo of the maker in their studio space.
• You may refer yourself.
• If more than one individual submits the same referral, the first to submit will be awarded the $250 should we end up working with or selecting the referred maker before June 30, 2017.

PHASE 1: REFERRAL – In order to be eligible each submission must include:

• Name of Maker - Please enter this in the TITLE of your submission.
• 500 Characters or Less Summary of who this person is, how you know them, and why you are referring them – Please enter this in the REFERRAL box.
• Location of Maker – They must be based in the Los Angeles area.
• Photo(s) of the Maker’s studio and of the Maker
• Contact Info of Maker

1. BY SUBMITTING A REFERRAL ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

2. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

3. Submissions must be in the English language or subtitled.

4. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.

5. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.

6. In the event that fewer than 50 Referrals are received, the Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest for up to fourteen (14) days at their discretion.

8. Referrals are only paid out for Beauty Directors we end up working with sourced from this project before June 30, 2017.
