Interstellar and Google Play want you to help create a time capsule documentary that will give the children of tomorrow a snapshot of our hobbies, routines, families, achievements, and everything else that represents us. The documentary will be produced by award-winning filmmakers David Brodie and Angus Wall and curated by Christopher Nolan.
The sponsor has re-opened the project in hopes of getting more awesome submissions. For those of you who already submitted you’re entry is still valid and you're free to submit again.

This is your opportunity to leave a message for the future of humanity. What beautiful moments — personal and universal — would you like to preserve for future generations?
The goal of this project is to create a short video (not exceeding 2 minutes) of one or more beautiful moments that you believe best represent humanity’s time on Earth. The footage will be compiled into a short film that will serve as a time capsule to future generations.
Important Note 1: You’ll need talent, location, artwork, and music releases (as applicable) for all of the footage you submit. These releases will need to be provided when you submit your Video, so make sure you have all your releases before the Video Phase closes! Also, should your footage be used in the video, you may be required to submit the IP Assignment and Winner’s Affidavit.
Important Note 2: All submitted Videos, even ones that do not place in the top 8, will become property of Google Play upon submission.
--Target Audience: The future of humanity.
--Executional Mandatories:
--Tone: inspirational, emotional, entertaining.
--Exposure: Submissions will be curated into a short film and featured with the digital release of Interstellar on Google Play.
This Project will be worth a total of $40,000 and consist of a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: VIDEO – All creators are invited to enter a Wildcard (What Is a Wildcard?) submission. The Judges will score all Wildcard submissions and the 8 highest scoring Wildcard will determine the standings for the Video Phase.
--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place through 8th place $5,000 each.
--Music: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audiosocket, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. You may use up to THREE total tracks per Video submission, and they can come from any of the three providers listed above. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.
If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.
--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee equal to 5% of the amount won. That’s a potential $2,000 in bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this Project! Check out more about our Referral Program in FAQ.
