Writers of Tongal, we are building out the Tongal Blog and would love to feature posts written by YOU. Submit your Pitches for entertaining and/or informative Blog Posts that all Tongalers will want to read for the opportunity to have your work featured on our blog.

Tongal has been focused on creating more blog content for our community in 2017 and now we’d like to add your voice to the mix. Since you are our target audience, take a look at what we’ve already published, and think about the types of stories you and your creative peers would be interested in reading.

Here are some ideas to get you started, but you can also come up with something completely original:

  • Is there someone creative you’ve been dying to interview? Now’s your chance. We want to meet your go-to beverage stylist, sound editor, cinematographer… you get the gist!
  • Do you have a new favorite ad that deserves some major props? Break it down for us and tell us what makes it so great.
  • Are you a film history buff with an awesome story to share? We want to hear it.
  • Were you the brains behind a winning Tongal idea? Tell us the idea behind the idea--how did your brilliant story come to be?
  • Are you attending an expo, movie screening or film festival? Send your review our way!
  • Have sage advice to share with brands? We want to hear your POV.
  • Do you have a favorite product that every filmmaker should know about? Tell us about it.

The goal of this project is to source five (5) exciting Blog Pitches that will then be developed and written by you into a Blog Post for the Tongal Blog. Keep in mind as you Pitch, the final Blog Post must be between 500-1000 words.

NOTE TO PITCH SUBMITTERS: Please check out the Tongal Blog to get an idea of the type of content we’ve published in the past - and avoid any topics we’ve already covered. Remember, if your Pitch is selected, you will be the one who writes the final blog post.

--Target Audience: The Tongal Community and creative folks everywhere

--Exposure: The Tongal Blog and social channels

This Project will be worth a total of $750 and will consist of a Blog Pitch Phase and a Blog Post Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch for a future blog post in 1000 characters or less. Your Pitch should be a distillation of what your final Blog Post will be about and demonstrate why the topic is a good fit for the Tongal Blog.

The 5 most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $50 to help create the Blog Post. Additionally, upon submitting a Blog Post that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner(s) will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Blog Post Phase.

PHASE 2: BLOG POST - The Pitch Winners will each create a 500-1000 word Blog Post based upon their winning Pitch.

--Blog Post Phase Payout: Winners of the Blog Post Phase will each earn $100 and have their byline attached to the final Blog Post.
