Our Mystery Sponsor is looking for concepts for new and original ways to tell heroic stories through video.

We all know heroes come in all shapes and sizes and there’s no standard for who a hero is, where they live, how they look, or what they do.  With this in mind, our Mystery Sponsor is looking for concepts for an entirely new and original way to tell heroic stories through video.

Think format – What is the main storytelling mechanism?  What are the repeatable attributes that can contribute through many episodes?  How does the video start? How does it end?  Is there any particular segment?

Think medium – What are the visual tools we need to tell this story?  Animation and live-action mix?  Game show? Documentary?  Paper-craft? Live-action? Claymation? Puppets? CGI?

Think length – 5-minute YouTube video?  Branching narrative?  22-minute episode?  Mini-documentary? 

So, if you have some great concepts, please read below for more information:

• Audience: The target audience is kids between 3-7 and co-viewing with parents. While the main focus is on the kids, the concept should appeal to the parents as well. 

• We are not looking for actual stories about heroes, just new and original ways to bring those stories to life through video.
  
  
• What to submit? Please describe the video format, medium, and length as well as send over any relevant links you think will help describe your concept.

The goal of this project is to source FIVE (5) concepts for new and original ways to tell heroic stories through video.

This project will be worth a total of $1,250 and consist of a Concept Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: CONCEPT – Tell us your concept for new and original ways to tell heroic stories through video in 250 characters or less. In your submission please describe the video format, medium, and length as well as send over any relevant links you think will help describe your
concept. The FIVE (5) winning concept creators will receive $250 each.

1. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

2. BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

3. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of sponsor.

4. Submissions must not portray sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with sponsor.

5. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

6. Limit 5 submissions per member.

7. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or old.

8. The sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest at their discretion.

9. Submissions from Germany and France are ineligible and will be immediately disqualified.

10. Winners must submit the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment.
