If you’re a creator who wants to work on Hot Wheels, this project is for you. We’re looking for THREE (3) talented creators to join our first ever Hot Wheels Pit Crew (HWPC).

Who is eligible?

We’re seeking creators (13+) from the US, who have a strong, stylistic point of view, and can work under pressure with short notice and quick timelines.

This project is open to creators that can be available year-round to ideate, create, and produce Hot Wheels content at a moment’s notice.

Details:

If selected to be part of the Hot Wheels Pit Crew (HWPC), you’ll receive $1,000 to be part of an on-call studio to help Hot Wheels create trending content and will be guaranteed ONE Pitch win out of seven opportunities presented to you (with the possibility of winning up to five Pitches). Pit Crew members will be presented with SEVEN direct and exclusive Pitch opportunities from now until the end of the year, and if awarded, will be given budgets from $1,000 to $2,000 to create Videos that will potentially air on the Hot Wheels YouTube channel.

Your application is due Monday August 14th at noon PT. If you have any issues with your submission please email info@tongal.com BEFORE 10:00 am PT Monday August 14th. This project is open to US residents only.

If chosen to be part of the HWPC, you are expected to pitch on every project presented to you. If your Pitch is selected, you will receive additional budget per project to help cover production costs and will be required to create a video that’s a minimum of 60 seconds.

IMPORTANT! For your Pitch please submit a detailed Treatment about how you would execute a “Halloween” themed video featuring Hot Wheels that would need to be completed within 7 days after winning the Pitch.

The seven (7) exclusive projects will be run as separate projects available only to the Hot Wheels Pit Crew.

Pitch Criteria:

Keep in mind your videos should be:

Shareable – Optimized for YouTube & engaging for the target audience.

Reactive & Relevant – Connect the Hot Wheels brand with culturally relevant moments on a local and global scale.

Your submissions SHOULD NOT include any licensed themes (i.e. Star Wars, Marvel, Minecraft, DC).

The Fine Print:

  • If you are part of the Hot Wheels Pit Crew, you are expected to pitch on all Pit Crew designated projects.
  • You will receive the $1,000 in two payments: $500 upon acceptance into the HWPC and $500 in December 2017 provided you’ve pitched on every HWPC project presented to that point.
  • These projects will ONLY be open to those in the Hot Wheels Pit Crew.
  • For each project, you will be directed to create platform-specific optimized versions (i.e. Facebook, YouTube and Instagram).
  • The sponsor will have a round of revisions for each winning video.
