04/10/18 - 04/12/18

Write a fun and warm script for a 30 to 60 second video showcasing Mystery Sponsor’s camera that makes an emotional connection with consumers and highlights how it can fit into their home.

Tongalers, our Mystery Sponsor needs your help introducing the world to a new type of internet-connected home camera. This amazing device is smart enough to tell an intruder from a family member. Which means no more annoying false security alerts whenever your house sitter comes by or whenever a family member starts sleepwalking again.

But this product is so much more than just a security camera. It’s a camera for your home life. It’s packed with cutting edge AI and a 3D sensor that’s able to give you updates so you can be home, even when you’re not. You can ask it to tell you when the kids came home today, who’s in the kitchen right now and what happened in the living room last Thursday morning. It can even tell people from pets – so you can find out if the dog broke that vase or if one of the kids covered it up.

This camera offers endless possibilities for home owners and we need your help bringing them to life. Give us your entertaining and illuminating scripts for a 30 to 60 second commercial that highlights the power of our Mystery Sponsor’s camera.

Your scripts should be warm, friendly and create an emotional connection with consumers. While the amazing tech is an important benefit of the camera, your script should emphasize the human side and all the things users can do with it. Please don’t play up the negative aspects of security in your script – these spots should be about ease and peace of mind rather than fear and protection.

Finally, we're looking for scripts that could be expanded into a repeatable format rather than just a one-off demo reel of the product. When writing your script, think of it as the launch of a new campaign (like this Old Spice spot or this Tide spot). Check out the objectives section below for more details.

The goal of this project is to write a fun and warm script for a 30 to 60 second video showcasing Mystery Sponsor’s camera that makes an emotional connection with consumers and highlights how it can fit into their home.

Note: If you're thinking about purchasing Final Draft for writing your script, you can get 20% off via the community resources page.
