Celebrate several upcoming 2023 holidays by creating original illustrations for Tongal's Instagram.

Tongal is looking for creators to help spread some holiday cheer across its Instagram Feed with original illustrations that celebrate different upcoming holidays and events, through the lens of filmmaking, animation, media, or content creation.

These should be heartwarming, clever, or humorous images that feature original characters or situations. For example, you could depict a film crew filming earth from space for Earth Day, or illustrate a crafty leprechaun stealing food from a crafty table. Each of these thought starters brings in a holiday or event angle and connects it to some type of content creation, but you have the flexibility to add your own creative twist.

These illustrations can be in the style of your choice. We're looking for still images, but if you wanted to add in light motion (like the flickering lights in our Hanukkah image), you're welcome to do so. Check out some previous illustrations in the Background for an idea of what we're expecting. You can also expect your Instagram handle to be tagged within the post for the asset(s) you've created.

Below are seven holidays and events we're looking for you to bring to life. You can get the green light to create more than one image and can pitch up to five holiday assets each. Make sure to indicate in your pitch which holidays you wish to bring to life, along with your top 3, as we're looking to mix it up with a few different Creators.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES: 

• The text in your image needs to indicate the depicted holiday, i.e. with a "Happy Mother's Day" or "Star Wars Day!" etc. If you wish to add in more text to support it, like in our Father's Day and Valentine's Day posts, make sure to indicate that in your pitch as well.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

• TEXT (REQUIRED): Up to 500 characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and produce the content listed out in the Deliverables.
  
  
• TREATMENT (REQUIRED):  A detailed description of your image. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

• LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL OR PORTFOLIO. Please link to individual videos/art.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. 

PAYMENT: Greenlight creators will be awarded $150 per each pitched image selected.

1. Preferred format for upload to the Tongal website is .png or .jpg. Should your submission be greenlit, you will also be required to provide a high-resolution final image and layered design files.
   
   
2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.
   
   
3. BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.
   
   
4. You may not contact any employees or members of the Sponsor’s organization, their affiliates, or any of their partners. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification of your entry in the project.
   
   
5. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.
   
   
6. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.
    
7. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.
    
8. Submissions must be in the English language or subtitled.
    
9. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.
    
10. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.
    
    
11. The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest.
    
    
12. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Pitches will also be evaluated on that member's ability to execute the final Imagebased on their prior work and experience as a filmmaker.
    
    
13. The Sponsor will be entitled to reasonable revisions on the finished Images without providing additional compensation.
    
    
14. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, greenlit Image creators MUST also provide Talent, Location, Music (or other) Releases for all assets appearing in their Images, as well as a photograph/headshot OR copy of a photo ID for all On-camera Talent releases. You must also provide all project files, editing sequences and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec to claim your earnings.
