Get Ready for Tax Season 2024 Social Video Concepts Project
Concept
11/13/23 - 11/20/23

Share concepts for the clever, humorous, and of-the-moment social videos you would create to to encourage viewers to file their taxes in-person or online with H&R Block this upcoming tax season.

Are you excited for tax season 2024?!?! Well, sure, we know the answer is probably not super... enthusiastic... but we all have to file our taxes, so we may as well get on top of things, right? H&R Block wants to start creating some social videos to make taxes feel a little less scary and a little more approachable this tax season, and they want to hear how YOU would create engaging, relatably hilarious, and super clever content to engage with H&R Block and encourage viewers to go to them this tax season.

We want to hear how you would let viewers know that H&R Block is there to support their tax filing journey, both online and in-person, and we're really hoping to find concepts that are sharp, witty, and memorable, and that obviously also encourage viewers to choose H&R Block this tax season. Think about what kind of video would convince you: what's the story? How is it told? These video concepts should work organically as :15-:60 videos on social platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, and they should speak to Gen Z audiences that may be filing for the first time, as well as Millennial audiences that may be dealing with more complicated tax issues or forms. Students, gig workers, freelancers, and full-time employees all have different tax questions and needs, so consider how your concepts can speak to one or more of those audiences, too. While you can't use any creative approaches that rely on trending audio, you should think about how you can use the visual language of those social platforms (e.g. POV, me to me, green screen, generational comparisons, etc.) to your advantage.

Think about what would get you moving on filing your taxes, and how that would work in a fun and memorable video, and let us know what that looks like.
