BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand know that accidents happen. Create a moving and inspiring Video that shows how with love, moms magically turn every boo boo into a moment of care and help their kids Get Back Out There to play, explore, discover, and grow.
Moms are used to being on their toes. They may turn a corner to find their toddler’s face covered in the lipstick he sneakily dug out of a purse. Or they might suddenly discover their kids giving the dog a bath…on the living room carpet.
Accidents happen. And with kids, they happen a lot. Mom is not going to let every little cut or scrape slow her kids down because getting hurt is part of being a kid. But if the oopses and uh-oh’s actually turn out to be scrapes and scratches, Mom should be prepared with Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. first aid bag with BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand products so she can make this an occasion to give the love, support & confidence her family needs and get them back out there to keep playing. And that’s the most important thing!
Mom’s J&J first-aid bag with BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand products equip her to show how much she cares and help her little daredevils Get Back Out There to keep riding, climbing, jumping, and playing. We’re helping moms stay prepared, so their kids can enjoy childhood—one skinned knee at a time.
Now BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand need YOU to show how mom caring for her kid’s boo boo is an occasion to show her love. Show how important it is for moms to encourage their kids to Get Back Out There and keep playing through touching Ideas, Pitches, and Videos.
** IMPORTANT CASTING NOTE: No more than TWO people total may appear on camera in your Video. No more than ONE additional Voice Over Talent may be used. If your Video features background talent, they must be out of focus or unrecognizeable.
This project is SAG eligible and you may use both SAG/AFTRA and non-SAG/AFTRA talent. **
The goal of this project is to create a moving, inspiring, and emotionally resonant Video that shows mom how her kids perceive her caring for their boo boos as an act of love and how important it is to help her kids Get Back Out There to play, discover, and grow. Your Video should grab viewers’ attention quickly and keep them engaged. Think about what would make someone want to share the Video, or click through to watch more.
--About Mom: She’s a mama bird, feeling her most important job is caring for her family. Instinctively, she wants to protect them and keep them safe, but she also knows how important it is to try new things and experience life as it comes. To manage, she encourages her family to get out and play but remains ready on the sidelines to offer support, especially when a pain, scrape or fall happens in the process. She keeps a stock of first aid products in the home for herself and her family, but thinks of them as emergency solutions, rarely restocking her supply or carrying them with her on the go.
We want to change mom’s mindset about being prepared from a reactive/rational to proactive/emotional state to have a J&J first-aid bag with BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand products at all times. Doing this equips her to show her love more often every time her kid gets a boo boo and get her children to Get Back Out There and play.
NOTE: The 60-90 second video and the 30 second cut-down are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.
--Key Marketing Messages:
--Target Audience: Active moms with kids 18 and younger (with a sweet spot ages 2-11).
--Executional Mandatories:
--Tone: Your Video should be engaging, emotional, moving, and/or thought provoking. Viewers should be able to relate to the video while being inspired to do more and Get Back Out There.
BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand are understanding, pragmatic, inspiring, and helpful.
--Exposure: Intended for Johnson & Johnson social channels and websites.
--Product: Select product will be made available to Pitch winners at the start of the Video Phase.
This Project will be worth a total of $25,000 and consists of 3 Phases: an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: IDEA – Tell us your Idea for the Get Back Out There Video in 140 characters or less. Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. The winning Idea creators will receive $250 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for any winning Videos based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $600, the 2nd place Video $300 – see Video Phase Payout details for more information.
PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:
The 2 most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $3,000 to help create the Video. Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winners will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $6,000, at a minimum, and have a chance to compete for the $12,000 First Place video prize (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners). For an example of an effective Pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.
PHASE 3: VIDEO – The 2 winners from the Pitch Phase will each create a 60-90 second Video with a 30 second cutdown based upon their winning Pitch.
NOTE: The 60-90 second video and 30 second cut-down are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.
The Judges will score the 2 winning Videos submitted by Pitch winners to determine the standings for the Video Phase. Remember, 2 Pitch winners will receive prizes.
--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $12,000 and 2nd place $6,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winners, as applicable).
