Create a 30-second Video with a 15-second cut-down that show moms how Lil'Beanies is a win-win snack that is both nutritious and delicious!

Toddlerhood is a blast…and little bit crazy. Every day brings new adventures for parents and toddlers as they explore the world in new ways. And as toddlers become more active and curious, it’s important to parents to be able to offer their lil’ explorers healthy snacks.

Gerber® is introducing the ONLY navy bean snack in the baby-aisle, Lil’Beanies. Lil’Beanies is a snack made with the goodness of navy beans. It is the tasty win-win snack solution that moms want. Lil’Beanies allows parents to say 'Yes' to a more nutritious snack that toddlers will love.

Gerber® is looking to the Tongal community to create a Video that generates awareness for Lil’Beanies by showing real-life moments that demonstrate how meal & snack times can be happy experiences for both moms and toddlers, and that highlights how Lil’Beanies is a win-win solution when mom is looking for nutritious meals and snacks that delight her toddler.

Lil’Beanies allows moms to say ‘Yes’ to a snack that they know is better for their children.

Please see the Project Objectives for more details.

The goal of this project is to create one (1) 30-second Video with one (1) 15-second cut-down, and five (5) still images that show real life moments between moms and toddlers that demonstrate that meal & snack times can be happy experiences and highlight Lil’Beanies as a win-win solution as a tasty and nutritious snack.

NOTE:

  • Your Pitch MUST include headshots of Mom/Dad and Toddler and a Script for approval.
  • Pitch winners will have a pre-production call with the Sponsor.
  • Do NOT start production until all approvals have been granted.
  • The 30-second Video, 15-second cut-down and (5) still images are all due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate Videos when submitting.
  • You will need to create a 2-D end card with a call to action including #GrowingUpGerber
  • Closed Captions will be added by Tongal to the final deliverables; please frame your Videos accordingly.

--Key Marketing Messages:

  • Gerber® understands my needs as a parent
  • Lil’Beanies is a win-win solution for moms looking for a nutritious snack that their toddler will love.
  • Lil’Beanies has the nutrition and attributes moms want, and the taste toddlers love. It is the nutritious snack toddler moms can serve without guilt.

--Target Audience:

Mom with a child 8-24 months.

  • She feeds her baby healthy and nutritious food that have been recommended for her baby’s age and stage.
  • She has a flexible parenting style and gives her baby her full attention during this time.
  • She actively seeks information on what to feed her baby and loves being able to share and influence other moms on what she finds meaningful.

-- Insight:

During toddlerhood, the child starts to negotiate with the parent. Feeding experiences can be very painful for parents at this stage. Pleasing the child could make or break a mom’s day. Lil’Beanies allows the parent to say ‘Yes’ to a snack, knowing that what they are saying ‘Yes’ to is nutritious and better for the child than other snacks in the snack aisle.

--Executional Mandatories:

  • Show how Lil’Beanies are a win-win snack for parents and toddlers alike.
  • Show positive emotional connection between parent and toddler.
  • Make sure toddlers featured are within the target age range of 12-14 months old.
  • You MUST show the toddler eating on his/her own.

--Tone: Authentic, light-hearted, caring, inspiring, happy

--Exposure: Social media and digital

--Product: The brand will provide product to Pitch winner.

This Project will be worth a total of $23,000 and consists of three (3) Phases: an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: IDEA  – Tell us your Idea for a video that creates awareness for the new Gerber® product Lil’Beanies and showcases how it is the win-win snack moms and toddlers love in 140 characters or less.  Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video.  As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. The winning Idea creators will receive $250 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for any winning Video based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $575) - see Video Phase Payout details for more information.

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Script (REQUIRED): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.
  • Headshots/Casting Boards (REQUIRED): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.
  • Treatment (Optional): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.
  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $11,000 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $11,500 (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners) . For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The winner from the Pitch Phase will create a 30-second Video based upon their winning Pitch.

NOTE:The 30-second Video, 15-second cut-down, and (5) still images are all due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn $11,500 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winner, as applicable).

--Music:  Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audioblocks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form.
