Create a 30-second Video that shows moms how mealtime can be fun and nutritious with Grabbers Strong, a win-win meal for toddlers and moms!

“Get that out of your mouth!”

“Don’t pull the dog’s tail.”

“Crayons are for paper, not walls!”

Toddlerhood is full of amazing moments and new adventures, but when you’re the mom of a toddler, it can be difficult to find things to say ‘yes’ to. You want to reward your growing child’s curiosity, while keeping them both healthy and happy.

That’s where Gerber®’s new Grabbers Strong pouches come in. These on-the-go snacks are fun to eat and provide delicious balanced nutrition for active toddlers. Grabbers Strong are even great for teaching older babies how to feed themselves. Grabbers Strong pouches allow moms to say ‘Yes’ to a snack that is both fun and nutritious. It’s a win-win for both toddlers and moms.

Gerber® is looking to the Tongal community to create a Video that generates awareness for Grabbers Strong by showing how meal & snack times can be happy experiences for both moms and toddlers, and that highlights how the pouches are a win-win solution when mom is looking for nutritious meals and snacks that delight her toddler.

Please see the Project Objectives for more details.

The goal of this project is to create one (1) relatable and fun 30-second Video with one (1) 15-second cut-down, and five (5) still images showing real life moments between moms and toddlers that demonstrate meal & snack times can be happy experiences and highlight Grabbers Strong as a win-win solution for a tasty and nutritious on-the-go snack.

NOTE:

  • Your Pitch MUST include headshots of Mom/Dad and Baby and a Script for approval.
  • Pitch winners will have a pre-production call with the Sponsor.
  • Do NOT start production until all approvals have been granted.
  • The 30-second Video, 15-second cut-down and (5) still images are all due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate Videos when submitting.
  • You will need to create a 2-D end card with a call to action including #GrowingUpGerber
  • Closed Captions will be added by Tongal to the final deliverables; please frame your Videos accordingly.

--Key Marketing Messages:

  • Gerber® understands my needs as a parent
  • Grabbers Strong is a win-win solution for moms looking for a nutritious snack that their toddler will love.
  • Grabbers Strong pouches have the nutrition and attributes moms want, and the taste toddlers love. It is the nutritious snack toddler moms can serve without guilt.

--Target Audience:

Moms with babies 6-12 months old (sweet spot is 8 months old).

  • She is preparing to introduce finger foods and encourage independent eating.
  • She believes that what she feeds her child in formative years lays the foundation for future health.
  • She trusts brands that understand her needs as a mom and can help her achieve “feeding success” with her baby.

-- Insight:

Moms and babies are entering the wonderful world of toddlerhood and the old rules of the game do not apply anymore. Toddlers have a more active role to play in the feeding process and Moms are looking for offerings that do not just meet the nutrition her child deserves but also delight her child. At this stage, the child starts to negotiate with the parent. Feeding experiences can be very painful for parents at this stage. Pleasing the child could make or break a mom’s day. Toddlers have strong opinions and are not afraid to be heard – with giggles, laughs, and “No!” they show enthusiasm with every new discovery. Grabbers Strong allows the parent to say ‘Yes’ to a snack, knowing that what they are saying ‘Yes’ to is nutritious and better for the child than other snacks in the snack aisle.

--Executional Mandatories:

  • Show how Grabbers Strong are a win-win snack for parents and toddlers alike.
  • Show positive emotional connection between parent and toddler.
  • Baby featured in the video must be at least 12 months old.
  • Mention that product contains 3g Protein, Fiber, Whole Grain, Dairy and full serving of Fruit & Veggies.

--Tone: Energetic, Optimistic, Confident, Friendly.  We want moms to connect with the video, and see themselves and their family in the experiences being shown. The brand should be showcased as a trusted advisor that is “on her side”. It should be relatable in a humorous way that makes moms connect with the content (not satirical).

--Exposure: Social media and digital. We want moms to share the video with friends and family because they have lived through the rollercoaster that is Toddlerhood.

--Product: The brand will provide product to Pitch winner.

This Project will be worth a total of $23,000 and consists of three (3) Phases: an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: IDEA  – Tell us your Idea for a video that creates awareness for the Gerber® Grabbers Strong pouches and showcases how they are a win-win snack moms and toddlers love in 140 characters or less.  Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video.  As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. The winning Idea creators will receive $250 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for any winning Video based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $575) - see Video Phase Payout details for more information.

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Script (REQUIRED): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.
  • Headshots/Casting Boards (REQUIRED): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.
  • Treatment (Optional): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.
  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $11,000 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $11,500 (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners) . For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The winner from the Pitch Phase will create a 30-second Video based upon their winning Pitch.

NOTE: The 30-second Video, 15-second cut-down, and (5) still images are all due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn $11,500 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winner, as applicable).

--Music:  Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audioblocks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.

Tongal members interested in a custom music solution for your project are invited to connect with SCORE A SCORE.  They specialize in the creation of custom music, on-demand.

Their business model is based on a "name your price" system, so you can tell them what your budget is, and they will work with you to create a deal configuration that will work within the discussed parameters. Check out the FAQ for more information and how to contact SCORE A SCORE.
