There isn’t much that feels as good as getting sh*t done. That feeling of accomplishment, it’s more than just crossing something off your to-do list; it doesn’t matter whether you’ve finished crafting a new pair of earrings for your Etsy shop, fixing up a vintage 1949 Indian Scout 440, or helping run your local weekend farmer’s market. Knowing you’ve done something you love and done it well is one of the best feelings in the world. It’s the feeling of being unstoppable.

But life moves pretty fast, and it takes a lot to keep up with everything you have to do, let alone find time to concentrate on the things you want to do. That’s why you drink Chameleon Cold-Brew: whether as a grab-and-go ready-to-drink or a concentrated coffee you can mix your own way, Chameleon’s coffee is smooth, bold, and organic so you can fuel your side hustle – whatever it may be. It’s easier on your stomach with lower acidity and doesn’t give you the over-caffeinated buzz of traditionally brewed coffee. Chameleon understands that you need that boost to keep you going, to help you feel unstoppable, and that’s why their cold-brew coffee is made for makers.

Now Chameleon wants to hear your stories about how you discovered Chameleon Cold-Brew and how it fuels your side hustle. How do you mix your concentrates – with water? milk? a shot? in a smoothie? Which ready-to-drink is your standby? And filmmakers, we want you to turn our two favorite Authentic Stories into gorgeous videos to help more hard-working makers and doers fuel their side hustles with Chameleon Cold-Brew.

Read on to the Project Objectives for more…

The goal of this project is to create two 60-second Videos (each with a 10–15 second teaser, 5 stills, and a GIF), that capture the Authentic Story of someone who fuels their side hustle with Chameleon Cold-Brew.

STORY SUBJECTS, we want to hear about how you discovered Chameleon Cold-Brew and how it fuels your #SideHustle, whatever that may be. Your submissions should give us a brief bio on who you are and what your Side Hustle is, as well as how you discovered Chameleon Cold-Brew.

The winning Story submissions will receive $2,000 each after the filming of their story is completed.

In addition to your Story Synopsis, your Story submissions MUST include:

  • Photo of the Story subject
  • Story subject’s location
  • Subject’s contact info

Please Note:

  • IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING A STORY ON YOUR OWN BEHALF, YOUR PAYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON YOUR PARTICIPATION AND COOPERATION WITH TONGAL AND ANY FILMMAKER THAT MAY BE SELECTED TO TELL YOUR STORY IN A FEATURETTE FOR THE SPONSOR.  YOU WILL RECEIVE $2000 UPON COMPLETION OF THE FEATURETTE, AND YOUR COMPLETION OF THE WINNER’S AFFIDAVIT, IP ASSIGNMENT, AND (IF YOU ARE APPEARING ON SCREEN), THE TALENT RELEASE.
  • IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING A STORY ON BEHALF OF SOMEONE ELSE, YOUR PAYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON HIS/HER PARTICIPATION. YOU WILL RECEIVE $500 AND THE SUBJECT WILL RECEIVE $1,500 UPON COMPLETION OF THE VIDEO AND THE SUBJECT’S COMPLETION OF THE WINNER’S AFFIDAVIT, IP ASSIGNMENT, AND IF THE SUBJECT IS APPEARING ON SCREEN, THE TALENT RELEASE.
  • If you are submitting your own Story and are selected as a finalist, you will be required to provide this Story Cooperation Agreement (Story Owner’s Submission). THIS IS NOT REQUIRED FOR INITIAL SUBMISSION.
  • If you are submitting on behalf of someone else and are selected as a finalist, you will be required to provide this Story Cooperation Agreement (Submission On Another’s Behalf). THIS IS NOT REQUIRED FOR INITIAL SUBMISSION.
  • Once the Story phase is complete, filmmakers will Pitch to create Videos based on the two winning Stories. THE FILMMAKER IS NOT REQUIRED TO OFFER ANY COMPENSATION TO THE SUBJECT.

FILMMAKERS:

PRE-PRODUCTION NOTE: This project includes a Pre-Production Phase (What is a Pre-Production Phase?). This means you will be required to submit certain items for Approval before moving onto the Video Phase. The Approval items for this project are:

  • SCRIPT/STORY OUTLINE  – This project requires Script/Storyline Approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. The brand may provide feedback on your Script and ask you to submit a new version. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until a Script/Story Outline is approved by the brand.
  • FOOD/BEVERAGE STYLIST – This project requires Food/Beverage Stylist Approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. You must submit your planned Stylist with your Pitch submission. Once chosen as a Pitch Winner, the brand may either approve your Stylist or ask you to submit a new one for approval.

IMPORTANT: No filmmakers may begin shooting their Video until all Approvals are completed and the Video Phase has officially begun. If you begin shooting your Video during the Pre-Production Phase, there is a chance you will need to reshoot (at your own expense) so please don’t jump the gun.

If you’re selected as a Pitch Winner, a Tongal producer will email you to help walk you through the Pre-Production and Approvals process.

NOTE: The 60-second Videos, 10–15 second teasers, 5 stills and 1 GIF per filmmaker are all due at the close of the Video Phase.  Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

We want to show people that Chameleon Cold-Brew has a purpose: to be your ally in everything you take on and support your #SideHustle so you can get more sh*t done.

To really dig into this, we want these spots to bring the “Maker Lifestyle” to life. Showcase that lifestyle and how Chameleon is an integral part of making it possible.

The “Maker Lifestyle” is for people who are making the world they want to live in – whether that’s artistic pursuits, charitable work, the overtime you put in for your family, or the business you’re starting on the side. The “Maker Lifestyle” is when you refuse to be constrained by hours in the day – because who has time for that?  As a maker, you’re unstoppable, and for you, life is about pursuing your passions. Chameleon Cold-Brew is here to help. The flavor is bold but also super smooth and drinkable. It’s caffeinated without being super acidic and hard on your stomach. The coffee is premium and organic, so you can feel good about fueling your dreams with a quality, ethically-sourced cold brew.

--Target Audience:

  • Millennials who drink coffee but haven’t tried Cold-Brew AND/OR Millennials who drink Cold-Brew but haven’t switched to Chameleon AND lovers of Chameleon Coffee
  • Affluent, Educated
  • Label reader; willing to pay more for organic
  • Makers and do-ers – artists, awesome party-throwers, and early-morning hikers. Those that not only get sh*t done but who are  passionate about what they do – whether it’s for their day job as graphic designers, their side hustle as a spin instructor, or even as the family chef – because they can’t live life any other way.

--Product:    Product will be provided to the Pitch Winners.

This Project will be worth a total of $38,000 and consists of five Phases: an Authentic Story Phase, a Pitch Phase, a Pre-Production Phase, a Video Phase and a Revisions Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: AUTHENTIC STORY – Tell us your Authentic Story for how you Fuel Your #SideHustle in 500 characters or less. Remember, an Authentic Story  (What is an Authentic Story Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Stories should be authentic and engaging. The two winning Story creators will receive $2,000 each upon their participation and cooperation with Tongal and any filmmaker that may be selected to tell their Story in a featurette for the sponsor.

Along with your Story Title and Synopsis, your Story submissions MUST include:

  • Photo of the story subject

  • There will be a separate Video project for the creation of the Videos based on the winning Stories. THE FILMMAKER IS NOT REQUIRED TO OFFER ANY COMPENSATION TO THE SUBJECT.

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Treatment (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what’s going to happen in the video.
  • Script (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.
  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Headshots/Casting Boards (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you’re capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The two most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $8,000 to help create the Video. Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winners will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $9,000. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 4: PRE-PRODUCTION – The two Pitch Winners from the Pitch Phase will enter the Pre-Production Phase (What is a Pre-Production Phase?). During this phase, filmmakers will need to receive the following Approvals from the brand:

No filmmakers may begin shooting their Video until all Approvals are completed and the Video Phase has officially begun. If you begin shooting your Video during the Pre-Production Phase, there is a chance you will need to reshoot (at your own expense) so please don’t jump the gun.

PHASE 4: VIDEO – Once the Pre-Production Phase is complete, the Pitch Winners will each create a 90-second Video based upon their winning Pitch.

NOTE: The 60-second Videos, 10–15 second teasers, and 5 stills and 1 GIF per filmmaker are all due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

After revisions are completed (see the Revisions Phase details for more information), the Judges will score the # of Pitch winners winning Videos submitted by Pitch winners to determine the standings for the Video Phase. Remember, the # of Pitch winners Pitch winners will receive prizes.

--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will each earn $9,000.

--Music:   Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. PHASE 5: REVISIONS – Once the Video Phase has closed, the winning submitters will enter the Revisions Phase.
