Your choice: Submit an original musical bumper for Tongal's weekly Instagram Stories series, Who Got the Greenlight?, OR a wildcard social asset that you think would be a great fit for Tongal's Instagram channel.

The creators who make up the Tongal community (read: YOU!) are the heart and soul of our platform, and Instagram is where our community spends much of their time getting inspired, sharing their own work, and connecting with their peers. 

For this Social Machine brief, we're giving you a choice. You can submit to one (or both) of the following content categories:

1. Project Prompt: Musically-inclined Tongalers, it's your time to shine! Submit an original musical bumper video, up to :15, for Tongal's weekly series, Who Got the Greenlight?, on Instagram Stories. Please see the Background/Additional Details section for more details about this segment, along with the Instagram Stories specs under Executional Mandatories.
2. Wildcard Social Asset: This is the anything-goes (within reason!) category. Submit your behind-the-scenes images, memes, inspirational quotes, or any other social asset you'd like to propose for Tongal's Instagram here.

There are a lot of directions you could take this in and we're excited to see what you come up with. In the end, we are seeking to identify at least 5 ready-to-post videos for Tongal’s Instagram channel. No need to get too slick here (unless you really want to!).

Pay special attention to the specs provided in the Executional Mandatories below to make sure your submission(s) meet them. If we select your submission, you'll get paid and we’ll credit you as the creator (and tag you if possible) when we post to Instagram! 

EXPOSURE: Tongal’s Instagram channel

TARGET AUDIENCE: Entertainment-lovers, Tongalers, and filmmakers, editors, writers, and animators in general

TONE: Authentic, relatable, friendly, supportive, inclusive

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES: 

• Consider the final audience of Tongalers and creators when creating your video. Speak to them directly when you can.
• Your submission must adhere to one of the following formats:
  • Instagram In-Feed posts - 1080x1080 or 1080×1350 (Videos up to :60)
  • Instagram Stories - 1080x1920 (Up to :15 per video. Upload multiple videos as a single file.)
• AVOID using the following terms in your submission:
  • Win / Won / Winning / Winner
  • Ad / Advertisement / Commercial
  • Prize
  • Contest

Who Got the Greenlight? is Tongal's signature, weekly series for Instagram Stories that celebrates all the community members whose creative work has recently been greenlit in a Tongal project. If you haven't caught WGTGL yet, head to our @TongalTeam Story Highlights (Greenlit Creators) to see what it's all about.

You'll notice that we currently feature this musical bumper in most of our weekly segments. You'll also notice there's a lot of room for improvement, both visually and musically (if you guessed it's based on a midi ripoff of Baha Men's 2000 earworm, Who Let the Dogs Out, you're absolutely correct). 

Our challenge to you is to create NEW 9x16 bumpers, under :15, featuring an entirely original ditty - or a track from one of our music partners which can be accessed in the Payment & Project Requirements section below.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your Social Asset submission. 

• SOCIAL ASSET (REQUIRED): Submit a video or image to be featured on Tongal’s Instagram channel in 1x1, 9x16, or 4x5 format.
  
  
• CONTENT CATEGORY (REQUIRED): Select a content category from the drop-down menu that best describes the submission you are uploading - either Project Prompt or Wildcard Social Asset.
  
  
• NOTES (OPTIONAL): If you'd like to add further context to your video, you have the option to include a note about your submission in this space - also a great place for adding suggested copy to accompany your asset!
  
  
• SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLES (OPTIONAL): If you'd like Tongal to tag you when we post your submission, you have the option to include links to your Instagram handle here. 

The 5 most compelling social asset submissions will be greenlit and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, their creators will each receive $50. Additional submissions may be purchased by Tongal at the following rate: Project Prompt submissions - $50 each; Wildcard Social Assets - $25 each. International entrants are strongly encouraged to update their Payment Settings to ‘PayPal’ in order to avoid higher wire transfer fees.

MUSIC: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Universal Production Music and Epidemic Sound, any of which can be used to source music for your video submission to this project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into submissions to this project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the providers’ names above. 

If you choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from third-party catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with your license purchase receipt when you turn in your video paperwork.

1. Preferred format for upload to the Tongal website is HD 1080p 1x1, 4x5, or 9x16. Acceptable file formats are .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv. Acceptable codecs are H.264 (MP4), MPEG-4, H.263, MPGV, WMV, DivX.
   
   
2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.
   
   
3. In the event you utilize any third-party materials, such as music provided by a third-party music provider not provided by Tongal, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third-party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal.
   
   
4. BY SUBMITTING A VIDEO ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.
   
   
5. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.
   
   
6. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.
    
7. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.
    
8. Videos must be in the English language or subtitled.
    
9. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.
    
10. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.
    
    
11. The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest.
    
    
12. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, greenlit Video creators MUST also provide Talent, Location, Music (or other) Releases for all assets appearing in their Videos, as well as a photograph/headshot OR copy of a photo ID for all On-camera Talent releases.
