Create a mix of eye-catching GIFs and static images for T-Mobile's 5G network and 5G Home Internet social feeds, while maintaining T-Mobile's clever and dynamic feel.
Social media's got plenty of talk, but we all know it's visuals that excite people, so - animators, illustrators, and all you other wizards of design - this one's for you. T-Mobile wants us to create a mix of GIFs and static images that their employees can use to showcase and explain why T-Mobile’s 5G Network and Home Internet are better, and they want this to be something really clever, eye-catching, and dynamic.
The goal of this project then is to create 2 GIFs, and 5 static images, that use interesting visuals to communicate something about the different benefits, perks, and features that make T-Mobile's network and internet stand out. That makes this HEAVY on static images, so keep that in mind. Ultimately, we're looking for two creators, but each will split their content between the 5G network AND the 5G Home Internet. In terms of messaging, almost everything that we need to include is already available on T-Mobile's website, but we've actually compiled a helpful claims document that consolidates all of the potential topics and claims in one place. You're basically just turning claims into social-friendly content, so you won't really have to worry too much about copywriting, unless you have a particularly unique approach here.
The fun part here really is the tone, the style, and the freedom to approach this in many different ways. T-Mobile's got a distinctive voice that is vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, but still professional. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, even a little quirky. Any GIFs or social pics their employees put their name on have to embody that, so this is is NOT just about putting white text on a magenta background - these need to be dynamic and have a lot of character to surprise and delight. They're also not "ads," as these should feel more casual than that. We've shared a ton of different cool examples down in the Background, and you'll see there's A LOT of variety.
In terms of the differences between GIFs and static images, there isn't one stylistically - T-Mobile's looking for a lot of bite-sized content and that means some of the simpler messaging will just be presented with a static image instead of a GIF. Those static images are unique assets though, and they should be just as interesting and playful as the GIFs.
For your pitch, we highly recommend submitting a proof of concept GIF or static image in your Treatment or Pitch Video. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.
