Tongal is looking to identify highly skilled display banner designers that could work on some fast-paced projects in the future. If you - or someone you know - would be a great fit, submit a referral and earn $50 if you're selected yourself, or $500 if your referral is selected and greenlit on one of our upcoming banner projects.

With a number of webpage display banner design opportunities on the horizon, Tongal is looking to expand our roster of graphic designers with this particular skillset. 

Display banner ads are image (or image + graphic animation) advertisements, primarily placed on websites, where the user can click through to a brand's landing page to make a purchase (check out some effective banner ads HERE). Display banner ads usually come in seven different sizes. 

Tongal clients are generally looking for animated display banners where the text appears on screen at different times. We are NOT looking for HTML5 coders (although if you do have that skillset, please let us know!). We're primarily looking for strong graphic designers (with a deep knowledge of Photoshop) who have previous experience creating display banner ads.

We know this is a niche skillset, so we totally understand if you personally don't have experience creating these types of assets. But we're betting you might know one, two... or even three friends/colleagues who's bread and butter is banner design. That's why we're looking to the Tongal community to help us source some talented banner designers from within your own figurative (or real; no judgement) rolodex.

REFERRAL FEES BREAKDOWN:

• $50 "top" referral prize - Upon the close of the submission phase, we'll take a look at the materials submitted with each referral and select up to 5 "top" referrals, and reward the submitter for bringing in great new talent. 
• $100 general referral fee - If you submit someone here, your referrals MUST create a new Tongal account using your unique ID in order for you to automatically receive $100 upon your referral's first-ever Tongal greenlight. This referral fee is valid for ANY project category, even if the project is not display banner-related. You can generate your referral code under the 'Invite A Friend' section on our referrals page. 
• $400 display banner referral fee - If your referral receives their first display banner design greenlight on or before July 1st, 2022, you will earn an additional $400. The project they're greenlit for MUST be a display banner design project in order to qualify. 

RESTRICTIONS:

• Referrals cannot have a Tongal account created on or before January 11th, 2022.
• You must actually know your referral personally. For example, if you refer Taylor Swift (her banner work is NUTS), you better know Taylor Swift. Tell us how you know your referral in the "Referral" section of the submission form. 
• If you know a banner-making duo or team, please submit one person from that duo or team only.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your referral.

• TITLE/NAME (REQUIRED): Please provide the first and last name of your referral under "Title."
  
  
• REFERRAL (REQUIRED): In up to 500 characters, tell us about who this person is, how you know them, and why you are referring them.
  
  
• CONTACT INFORMATION (REQUIRED): Tell us how to contact your banner-designing friend. We may also reach out to help onboard them.
  
  
• LINKS (REQUIRED): To the designer's previous display banner work.

• ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Optional): If it's helpful, submit a PDF with additional information about your referral's past display banner design work and/or any other skillsets your referral may have (for example, HTML5 coding experience).

The 5 most compelling display banner designer referral submissions will be selected and will then receive an email from Tongal producers as a means of introduction. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Upon being selected, top referral submitters will receive $50 upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. 

If you refer a display banner designer and they are greenlit on a project, you will receive up to $500, based on the Referral Fees Breakdown and Restrictions, upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, you will receive a referral payment.

YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.
   
   
2. Submissions must be in the English language or subtitled.
   
   
3. Limit 10 submissions per member, per Phase.
   
   
4. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.
   
   
5. In the event that fewer than 50 Referrals are received, the Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest for up to fourteen (14) days at their discretion.

7. Referrals are only paid out for Banner Designers we end up working with sourced from this project before July 1, 2022.
