Want to fly out to Toronto for a few days and tell the story of one of the most innovative companies in the world?

Deloitte has a ton of brainpower and is constantly evolving, solving complex problems, leading the way. Deloitte is igniting the future and challenging the way businesses think about doing business.

One filmmaker will be selected off the strength of his/her pitch to fly to Toronto and visit the Deloitte Greenhouse and learn about how Deloitte is disrupting the status quo and trying new approaches at every turn. Cutting-edge technology is transforming the workplace as we know it, accelerating discussions, inputs and outputs. When you’re there, you’ll be peeking into the future!

You will also be given access to dozens of hours of pre-existing footage from Deloitte to help tell their innovation story. A representative from Deloitte will be available on-site and via email to help you through the process.

Please visit the “Assets” section of this project to find a helpful, information-packed document from Deloitte, which describes some of the initiatives/stories they’d like you to capture.

The goal of this project is to create a 120-180-second Video -- from original, as well as pre-existing footage provided by Deloitte -- capturing the innovative work being done at Deloitte.

Important Note 1: You will be required to travel to Toronto to be on-site at Deloitte.  The pitch award of $5,000 is larger than usual in order to cover associated costs.

Important Note 2: The Video will have TWO versions – one with French Voiceover and one with English Voiceover.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.

  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • Treatment (Optional): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.

  • Image (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, casting notes, anything that helps get your point across.

  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The ONE most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $5,000 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $10,000. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 2: VIDEO – The 1 winner from the Pitch Phase will create a 120—180-second Video based upon their winning Pitch.

--Video Phase Payout: The Winner of the Video Phase will earn the following prize: 1st place $10,000.

Important Note 1: You will be required to travel to Toronto to be on-site at Deloitte.  The pitch award of $5,000 is larger than usual in order to cover associated costs.
