Tongal is looking to build and empower a rockstar team of Creator Ambassadors to help engage, cultivate, and grow our creative Community.

Help Tongal recruit and empower exciting new creative talent - directors, animators, editors, motion graphic artists, etc. - by connecting them to each other and to opportunities from top brands, networks, and studios.


We’re looking for people join us as Creator Ambassadors. As an Ambassador, you'll be positioned as a creative leader and talent scout, and connect with Creators from various fields who hail from anywhere in the world. You'll be asked to reach out directly on social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube, and Reddit, while also looking at educational programs, film festivals and other artist organizations, and you can also utilize any additional platforms you think would be right. You'll be helping foster a culture of collaboration, and cultivate new creative talent for the Tongal community by recruiting people to the platform, referring them to projects that we'll provide, and providing them with key information to support them on their journey.


We're looking for up to four ambassadors (one for each category listed below), to connect with creators in the following fields:


  • Animation/MGFX
  • CGI
  • Creators/Filmmakers
  • Creators/Editors


HOW IT WILL WORK: By becoming a Tongal Creator Ambassador, you’re signing up to engage with, cultivate, and help grow the Tongal Community on an ongoing basis over the next 3 months. Selected Ambassadors will:

  • Attend a virtual kickoff/on-boarding session with the Tongal team.
  • Contribute to community growth strategies in bi-weekly Ambassador meetings.
  • Participate in at least one weekly, virtual social meetup with Creators per month.
  • Promote weekly, virtual Creator meetups via social media and other relevant platforms.
  • Engage and converse with at least 10 creators each month, alerting them to briefs and Tongal resources. 

 

DELIVERABLES: 

  • Minimum 2x social posts per week. (some you'll be provided, some you'll make with Tongal review & approval)
  • Weekly status reports based on a provided template.

 

EXPOSURE: Tongal's Social Channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) and prominence at virtual Tongal events.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE: Entertainment-lovers, Tongal clients, Tongalers, and filmmakers, editors, writers, and animators in general.

 

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES: 

  • You must create and share 8 posts on social channels of your choice (Instagram, Reddit, Twitter Facebook Groups) that support the endeavors outlined in the "HOW IT WILL WORK" & "DELIVERABLES" sections each month. 
  • Social content must all drive to a specific project; projects and links will be provided
  • All activity must adhere to Tongal Brand Standards, which will be supplied to Ambassadors.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

 

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less explaining why you’re a good fit to be a Tongal Creator Ambassador, outlining the qualifications or skills you bring to the table, and your involvement in the creative community.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): Links to your personal or professional social accounts that demonstrate your capabilities or approach.


  • NOTES (Optional): If you'd like to talk further about your experience and thoughts on the creative community, you have the option to include an additional note in 1500 characters or less.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

Up to FOUR greenlit Creator Ambassadors will be selected to join the Ambassador Program, and will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.


Ambassadors who’ve been selected will be part of the program for 3 months, and receive an initial payment of $200 upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, and then $200 each month, for a total of $800. 


Additionally, Tongal Creator Ambassadors have the opportunity to earn a bonus payment of $100 for every new Creator referred, when they get their first greenlight on ANY Tongal project. 


PRE-PRODUCTION: Prior to engaging in any official Ambassador activities, Tongal Creator Ambassadors must connect with their Tongal Producer to receive brand guidance and materials. Social Assets created by Ambassadors will be subject to Tongal review and approval.


BI-WEEKLY MEETINGS: Ambassadors are required to attend bi-weekly meetings, every other Friday, to review progress and contribute feedback, ideas and concepts to growth strategies with the Tongal team. 

  1. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

  2. BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES - SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

  3. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.

  4. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.

  5. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

  6. Limit 1 submission per member.

  7. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or old to enter. The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest at their discretion.

  8. Creators of selected submissions must provide the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment.
