Join the Tongal team as an independent contractor Asset Quality Control Technician, performing technical reviews and content checks on the many different types of assets created by the Tongal community, before that content is ultimately delivered to clients.

Tongal is looking for one or more detail-oriented individuals who can act as an on-call Asset Quality Control Technician to assist in the review and delivery of video, photo, and audio content associated with Tongal projects, working closely with Tongal's full time Post-Production Supervisor. This will include operating in Tongal's normal course of business, but also in cases where Tongal requires additional resource for special projects with larger-than-normal scopes.

 

There will be a 2-week paid training period where selected applicants will shadow the current Post-Production Supervisor to learn how to operate on the Tongal website, understand the project workflow, operate Tongal’s automated quality control process, and navigate through key client and creator communication touch points, all of which will be necessary to do work as an effective Asset Quality Control Technician in Tongal’s post-production department. If selected, you will be invited to enter into an independent contractor agreement to work remotely for $20 per hour, up to a maximum of 30 hours per week for an initial period of up to 3 months.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Individuals who are keenly attuned to the important technical aspects of the content creation process, and an ensuring the highest quality of content is delivered by Tongal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous focus on spelling and grammar

  • Deep understanding of the Tongal creative process and website policies.

TIMELINE: We anticipate the training period will likely begin 08/08.

 

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES: 

  • MUST be a US resident
  • MUST be available the weeks of 8/08, 8/14, 8/22, and 8/29
  • MUST be available to work up to 30 hours a week, and approximately 6 hours/day
  • MUST be available for 5 hours on weekdays within the timeframe of 10am PT - 4pm PT to aid in communication.
  • MUST be willing to work for $20 per hour.
  • MUST have a minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in asset management, communications and accustomed to working in a team environment.
  • MUST provide your own reliable computer and internet connection

This project is to find independent contractors to assist with Tongal. Nothing in this project is intended or should be construed as potentially creating an employment position with Tongal. The position described by this project is NOT an employment position.

Responsibilities: Manage key email communications, community support, and some content tracking for 30-40 creators, with communications including, but not limited to:


  • Reviewing video, audio, and some image files and their technical specifications
  • Running automated tests on media content
  • Checking content for editing and grammatical errors
  • Communicating with Tongal's full-time production staff, as well as Tongal community filmmakers, regarding rejections and approvals of the assets that they have uploaded. 
  • Troubleshooting issues for filmmakers to ensure their success.
  • Assisting Tongal producers with special requests.

Applicants may be asked to move forward to a video interview round with the team before a final decision is made, via Google Meet. In the exciting event you are brought on to the Tongal team as a Asset Quality Control Technician, we will provide you with an independent contract agreement for signing. It will be for up to a 30-hour work week paid at $20 per hour.

  1. Community Asset QC Technicians will not be entitled to any of the benefits that Tongal may make available to its employees, including, but not limited to, group health or life insurance, profit-sharing or retirement benefits. Because Community Creative Producers are independent contractors, Tongal will not withhold or make payments for social security, make unemployment insurance or disability insurance contributions, or obtain workers’ compensation insurance.


    2. Submissions must be in the English language or subtitled.


    3. Limit 1 submission per member.


    4. You must be at least eighteen (18) years or older to enter.


    5. Tongal reserves the right to repost the contest.


    6. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Pitches will also be evaluated on that member's ability to fulfill the role based on past work experience.
