We are currently experiencing an unprecedented global event in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Winn-Dixie wants to help. Share with us your suggestions for how you are coping with social distancing, what Winn-Dixie can do to ease the grocery shopping process, or any at home tips you've discovered while staying in.

Winn-Dixie is looking to the Tongal community for suggestions on how they can assist in their community, either through adapting the grocery shopping experience, or improving life at home. The situation calls for quick solutions - so we're looking for straightforward, actionable suggestions that can be implemented in the short term. If you've been to any grocery store lately, you've no doubt seen the effects of COVID-19. This is a situation that none of us have faced before, and the world needs creative & compassionate thinking now more than ever. Winn-Dixie wants to help. So what advice and tips can we share with one another to make things easier now?

Please see the Background/Additional Details section below for the categories your concepts should align with, as well as some suggestions to get you thinking.

EXPOSURE:

  • Winn-Dixie has active social media channels and might share your concepts as social posts, images, or videos, but if your concept involves the in-store experience, then Winn-Dixie may make changes to improve the customer experience there.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • New customers in the 35-44 age range

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • We are NOT seeking medical insight or advice. Please keep concepts focused on lifestyle, service, or social subjects.
  • Winn-Dixie already has programs for food drives and charitable efforts in place. We are NOT looking for suggestions on giveaways, pricing, or product supply, nor new philanthropic initiatives. Instead, we are looking to use assets already available to serve the community better. For example, Winn-Dixie has designated a separate hour of store hours for Senior members of the community to shop.

The sponsor is seeking tips and suggestions from the following categories:

Social Distancing - It can be hard being a responsible citizen practicing "social distancing". People get lonely, kids go stir crazy, and time seems to drag. Share your tips on how to pass the time, maintain your relationships or anything else that keeps you emotionally well.

In-Store - Demand is high and shoppers can feel disoriented while trying to navigate their grocery store. What can Winn-Dixie associates do to help make the process easier and help you complete your trip? This also might be suggestions for your community and what habit you all might adapt to make sure everyone gets what they need, or what have you seen some stores do in your state area that you wish every store would do?

Household- Some businesses and services are closing, and as individuals,  we are being asked to limit our trips away from the home. This can put a strain on normal household maintenance and sometimes requires us to get creative in the kitchen. How are you making it all come together when confined to your home? What habits have you developed to keep your space clean but comfortable? Using products unconventionally (but safely or little life hacks are what we are after.
