Create a suite of Videos that build awareness for BizFilings and encourage people to get off the fence and incorporate with BizFilings today.

Many entrepreneurs know that incorporating their business prepares them to secure funding, hire employees, and separate their personal assets from the business.  But not all entrepreneurs realize how important having the right partner for incorporation can be.  Having a partner like BizFilings that has all the information, knows the steps, knows the rules, works with all the states, truly understands the process, and has a strong track record of incorporating small businesses is crucial.  BizFilings:

  • Understands the ins and outs.
  • Works closely with every state.
  • Works with entrepreneurs side by side through every step.

BizFilings needs your help to get entrepreneurs to incorporate their business on BizFIlings.com through a suite of three videos.

===SPLIT===

BizFilings needs your help to get entrepreneurs to incorporate their business on Bizfilings.com through a suite of three Videos.

Get people to act now and incorporate their business today with Bizfilings.

Check out Objectives for the specific topics each Video in the suite should focus on.

The goal of this project is to build awareness for BizFilings through impactful, clear and compelling Videos, and encourage people to get off the fence and incorporate their business with BizFilings. When viewers watch your Videos, they should think: I know incorporation is important, and I know that BizFilings is who I want to do it with. They are the right partner for something this important. Get creative and inject some personality into the Videos – they want to break through the clutter and be distinct – but remember that incorporating is a big deal, so the goal is to inspire trust, not humor.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This project has a 12-day Video Phase.

Each Pitch winner will be creating a suite of THREE Videos. Each Video Topic is outlined below. When submitting a Concept, select one of the three Video Topics from the drop down menu.

  • Video 1:  Position BizFilings as the leading expert in helping people incorporate their businesses.  Make it about how we know how to get started, we know all the steps to incorporate, we've done more than half a million incorporations and we know all the ins and outs.  We know the answers to the questions an entrepreneur / small business owner would have as they go through the incorporation process.  Basically this video should ensure that our expertise makes them feel like they came to the right place.
  • Video 2:  Focus on BizFilings’ “roll up your sleeves” approach to customer service.  Make sure the audience understands that we know what a big moment incorporation is, and we work side by side with them to help them through all the steps.   That approach to service is what sets us apart — our online experience is backed by a team that works hand in hand with customers, every step of the way.  This video should make them feel like we're in it with them.
  • Video 3:  Talk about our unique approach to the process:  we want our small business customers to have a clear line of sight to everything that's happening during the incorporation process.  BizFilings lays out all the steps, and wants our customers to know how long things are going to take, what information is needed at what times, what our prices are, what the state fees are.  From experience, we know exactly how it's going to go down, and we want to make sure our customers can see that too.  This video should make them feel confident in choosing BizFilings because the way we work is straightforward and clear.

Each Pitch winner will be required to share 5 still images from their Videos.

 --Who is Bizfilings?:

People like working with us.  Think about the next door neighbor that comes over to help you fix your car.  He's not the type that says "let me take over" and takes it away to work on — he shows you what he's doing under the hood, he makes sure you know what needs to happen next, and he's happy to walk you through it until it gets done.  Think about Rocky, who was a normal guy with a mission, and he surrounded himself with the right people, he prepared, he trained, he went through a sequence, and people rooted for him because of it.  Think about grilling:  you could put a burger on the grill, but there's a lot of technique behind it (the temperature of the coals, how you add the mesquite, when you use foil) and there are steps that only the real grillmasters know.  Note that we're not looking for car repair videos, Rocky videos, or grilling videos, so don't take us too literally — these examples are just to give you an idea of who we are.

-- BizFilings WOULD say:

  • “We can help you with that.”
  • “Let’s get started.”
  • “We’ll go through it together.”
  • “We know what success looks like. We know how to do this.”
  • “Let’s get to work.”
  • “We’re not telling you we’ll do it for you, we’re telling you we’ll do it with you. It’s that important.”

-- BizFilings WOULD NOT say:

  • “It’s easy.”
  • “We’ll just do it for you.”
  • “This is hard” (or a burden, or something you don’t need to focus on)
  • “Leave it to us so you can focus on other things.”

--Key Marketing Messages:

  • Your Videos should each include a call to action such as: Incorporate your business today at bizfiings.com/SAMPLEURL. (Doesn’t have to be this exact language but your Video should end with a similar call to action. Final URL will be provided to the Pitch winners.)
  • BizFilings supports the learning process: Our comprehensive online tools and resources will help you understand your options.
  • BizFilings guides you through the steps and make sure the process is done right: Our Incorporation Specialists are eager to answer your questions and explain your options.
  • The following thought starters aren’t required but check them out for inspiration:
    • We help you prepare for success.
    • If you're thinking you should incorporate your business, take the next step with BizFilings.
    • BizFilings knows how it's done – since we started in 1996 we've walked more than 500,000 entrepreneurs through the incorporation process.
    • Let's get started — we'll do this together.  It's important.  You don't need to do it by yourself, and it's too important to outsource.  Let us walk you through it.
    • We'll lay it all out and give you all the information you need to feel confident you're making the right choice.

--Target Audience: Entrepreneurs who know they should incorporate their businesses but haven’t yet.

--Executional Mandatories:

  • Your Videos must each feature the Bizfilings.com website. Each Video must feature either the Incorporation Options section, the Incorporation Wizard, and/or process of buying an incorporation (specifically going through the green Incorporate Now checkout flow).
  • The Sponsor will provide a bumper that must be included in your Videos. Be sure to reserve 3 seconds per video for the bumper.
  • Don't suggest "peace of mind" -- because the point isn't that we want them to relax, it's that we want them to take action.  There's something to pay attention to — incorporation is important.
  • Don't suggest "it's complicated" because it shouldn't be intimidating and it's not something to avoid — the whole point of our approach to service is that we break it all down and lay it all out so that it's clear, and then walk customers through the steps.
  • Don't suggest "we'll do it for you" because our research has shown that entrepreneurs typically want to be involved, be on top of it, and see what's going on.  Doing it together gets the best outcomes.
  • Your Videos must each include:
    • BizFilings logo
    • Wolters Kluwer logo
    • Landing page Web Address

--Tone: Your Videos should be inspirational, but not in a hokey way – it’s not as much about dreaming as it is about doing. By “doing,” you prepare yourself for success and set yourself up for the future. Personality is good but BizFilings isn’t looking for comedy.

--Exposure: These Videos are intended for use on YouTube, Hulu, and on the brands’ website. Stills are intended for banner ads.

This Project will be worth a total of $50,000 and consists of 3 Phases: a Concept Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: CONCEPT – Tell us your Concept for BizFilings in 500 characters or less.  A Concept is an overarching theme that the Video or Videos could focus on. Select one of the three Video Topics from the drop down menu when submitting your Concept. The winning Concept creators will receive $500 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for any winning Videos based on their Concept. (That means if your winning Concept is the basis for the 1st place Video suite, you will receive $850, the 2nd place Video suite $575) – see Video Phase Payout details for more information.

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a suite of 3 Videos based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.

  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • Script (Optional): This should include dialogue from the videos you intend to create.

  • Treatment (Optional): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the videos.

  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.

  • Headshots/Casting Boards (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.

  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The 2 most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $10,000 to help create the Videos.  Additionally, upon submitting Videos that satisfy the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winners will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submissions, you will win an additional $11,500, at a minimum, and have a chance to compete for the $17,000 First Place video prize (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners). For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The 2 winners from the Pitch Phase will each create THREE 15-second Videos based upon their winning Pitch with 5 still images.

The Judges will score the 2 winning suites of Videos and Images submitted by Pitch winners to determine the standings for the Video Phase.  Remember, the 2 Pitch winners will receive prizes.

--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $17,000 and 2nd place $12,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winners, as applicable).

--Music:  Tongal has partnered with two premiere music providers: Audioblocks and Epidemic Sound. Either of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.

Tongal members interested in a custom music solution for your project are invited to connect with SCORE A SCORE.  They specialize in the creation of custom music, on-demand.

Their business model is based on a "name your price" system, so you can tell them what your budget is, and they will work with you to create a deal configuration that will work within the discussed parameters. Check out the FAQ for more information and how to contact SCORE A SCORE.

If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.

--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee equal to 5% of the amount won. That’s a potential $1,000 in bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this Project! Check out more about our Referral Program in FAQ.

13. The Sponsor will be entitled to reasonable revisions on the finished Videos without providing additional compensation. Remember it's easier to re-edit than re-shoot so try to get as much coverage as possible.

14. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, winning Video creators MUST also provide Talent, Location, Music (or other) Releases for all assets appearing in their winning Videos, as well as a photograph/headshot OR copy of a photo ID for all On-camera Talent releases. You must also provide all project files, editing sequences and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec to claim your prize.

15. See OFFICIAL RULES for additional contest information, terms and conditions. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these requirements and the Official Rules, the terms and conditions of these requirements shall prevail.
