BetterHelp Broadcast Concept Project
Concept
11/02/18 - 11/06/18

Create a Concept for a :60 broadcast spot around New Year’s resolutions that captures people’s attention and drives sign-ups for BetterHelp.

BetterHelp is an affordable counseling service platform where individuals can get the help they need, the way they need it, from licensed and accredited professionals.

BetterHelp is asking the Tongal community to create a Concept for a :60 broadcast spot around New Year’s resolutions that capture people’s attention and drives sign-ups. The :60 Concept will also be used to create a shorter :30 version.

Your Concept should lay the groundwork for a spot that accomplishes the following:

  • Speak to people who may need counseling services in an authentic and compelling way.

  • Clearly and concisely communicate how BetterHelp works and the benefit of using their services.

  • Have a strong call to action that ties into New Year’s resolutions that appeal to those looking to improve their mental health and those who need support in accomplishing their resolutions (i.e. losing weight, being more confident, etc).

The goal of this project is to create a Concept for a :60 broadcast spot around New Year’s resolutions.

--Key Marketing Messages: Affordable. Discrete. Effective.

--Target Audience:

  • Clients come from around the world and are from a variety of backgrounds. In general, the most common users are females (18-36) from the United States, but the video should appeal to a broader audience as well.
  • Their target audience may be emotionally reactive, vulnerable to stress, experiencing depression, and/or dealing with anxiety. In these situations, minor frustrations can become hopelessly difficult.

This Project consists of a Concept Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: Concept – Tell us your Concept for a :60 BetterHelp spot in 250 characters or less. Remember, a Concept is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Concepts should be clever and engaging. The four (4) winning Concept creators will receive $250 each.
