Alvin and the Chipmunks How-To Video Open Bid Project
Pitch
12/01/17 - 12/05/17

Alvin and his friends are looking to create fun and engaging How-To Videos for their amazing new YouTube channel, Planet Chipmunk!

Growing up with Alvin, Simon and Theodore meant three things:

1. It’s never, ever boring.

2. Family is everything.

3. You’re never too small to make a big impact.

Over the years, the Chipmunks have shown us how-to have fun, how-to care for each other and how-to forgive. Now, working with Tongal, Alvin and his friends are looking to create fun and engaging How-To Videos for their amazing new YouTube channel, Planet Chipmunk!

If you’re interested in creating content for this iconic franchise please read below for more information:

  • This is an open bid project and you will need to submit your proposed budget per episode along with your treatment.
  • In this project the Sponsor will determine how many submissions it will select, if any.
  • The brand is open to all different kinds of How-To Videos for the Alvin and the Chipmunks YouTube page -- be creative and think outside the box about what the audience would enjoy.
  • We’re looking for ideas that could be executed quickly. We may need at least one video by December 20, 2017.
  • Pitch winners may have access to Alvin video and music assets.

What to Submit in Your Pitch:

  • Links to your past work.

  • Treatment giving a detailed narrative description of what each How-To Video will be about.

  • Proposed Budget per Episode (*See Budget Template in the Assets Tab): Instead of us dictating your budgets, we’re looking for you to let us know the amount you need in order to execute your video. Please provide explicitly how much you need. Budgets should fall between $300 and $1,500 per episode. Your budget proposal is subject to approval if your pitch is selected. Please consider the most economical way to produce your video.

The goal of this project is to create a series of How-To Videos for Alvin and the Chipmunks.

--Target Audience: Alvin fans of all ages.

--Tone: Fun, engaging, exciting.

--Exposure: YouTube

This project will consist of a Pitch Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the sponsor why you should be selected to execute series of How-To Videos using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute the series of How-To Videos.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Treatment (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what each How-To Video will be about.
  • Proposed Budget per Episode (REQUIRED): Instead of us dictating your budgets, we’re looking for you to let us know the amount you need in order to execute your video. Please provide explicitly how much you need. Budgets should fall between $300 and $1,500 per episode. Your budget proposal is subject to approval if your pitch is selected. Please consider the most economical way to produce your video.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you’re capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.
