Create a series of recruiting videos that communicate the unique opportunity working at Allstate offers, especially to military veterans.

A lot can happen in life, both good and bad. So it’s important to know that the things that matter the most are in Good Hands. Whether it’s protecting your house, family and income, or building a secure financial future, Allstate Licensed Sales Professionals (LSPs) are there to help people achieve and protect the important things in life.

Allstate is looking to grow their team of Licensed Sales Professionals by creating a series of recruiting videos geared toward military veterans who may be interested in these key sales positions. The videos will profile current Allstate LSPs, including those who have served in the military while bringing attention to Allstate’s new military veteran training programs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • One filmmaking team will create all four videos for the Allstate LSP/Veteran Recruiting Videos Contest
  • Allstate will provide the four employees and locations to be featured in the four videos
  • Allstate will develop key questions and talking points for each video
  • The filmmaking team selected will have a preliminary call with each Video subject prior to shoot
  • Pre-Production Meetings and/or calls will be scheduled for all video productions
  • An Allstate representative will be on-set for all four video production
  • Allstate will have the option of two rounds of post-production edits per video

The goal of this project is for one filmmaking team to create four 60-90 second documentary-style videos that explore a day in the life of real Allstate Licensed Sales Professionals (LSPs). Allstate will provide access to the LSPs, agency locations, and key questions and talking points for the videos. At the bottom of this section, please see the Production Schedule for this project.

These videos should showcase how Allstate is working with military veterans through training programs to help them develop lifelong careers with Allstate; the diversity and individuality of Allstate LSPs; and above all, drive awareness to and interest in the employment opportunities at Allstate, especially for military veterans.

LSPs are generally younger individuals with customer service and/or sales experience ready to start long-term careers.  They must be licensed to sell insurance but Allstate can help prospective LSPs obtain their Property & Casualty license. Good LSP traits include being social, detailed, dependable, ethical, and positive.

--Key Marketing Messages:

  • “I can build a fulfilling and rewarding career working at an Allstate Agency.”
  • Your Videos should clearly communicate the diversity and individuality of Allstate LSPs.
  • Tone should be entertaining, engaging, informative, contemporary, and authentic.
  • Allstate’s military veteran training program initiative is focused on hiring and training military veterans.

--Target Audience: Military veterans and other prospective Allstate employment candidates, ages 20-60.

--Executional Mandatories:

  • Work with Allstate to create authentic ‘day-in-the-life’ doc-style Videos featuring Allstate LSPs, especially those who are military veterans.
  • Attend Pre-Production Meetings/Calls with Allstate.
  • Schedule preliminary calls with each Video subject prior to shoots.
  • Additionally, an Allstate representative will be on-set for all four Video productions.
  • Provide transcribed scripts for the first and second cuts of each Video.

--Tone: Authentic. Engaging. Sincere. Diverse. Informative.

--Exposure: AllstateVeterans.com and various social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

This Project will be worth a total of $70,000 and consists of two (2) Phases: a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. One filmmaking team will produce all four (4) Videos. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Treatment (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.
  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $35,000 to help create a suite of four (4) Videos. Additionally, upon submitting all four (4) Videos that satisfy the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will receive an additional $35,000. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in all four (4) of your Video submissions, you will win an additional $35,000. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 2: VIDEO – The winner of the Pitch Phase will create four (4) Videos each 60-90 seconds in length based upon their winning Pitch.

--Video Phase Payout: The winner of the Video Phase will earn $35,000 upon successfully satisfying the criteria laid out in their winning Pitch in all four (4) Videos.

--Music:  Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audioblocks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.

If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.

--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee of up to $500 per placing video, which is typically 5% of the winning amount in bonus cash, just for telling all of your talented friends about this Project!
