3D Artist Search for Animated Feature Film
Pitch
02/03/22 - 06/06/22

Submit your 3D designs portfolio and rate for the chance to collaborate on the 3D design of an upcoming animated feature film for a major studio.

Tongal is making an animated feature film for a major studio and we are looking to the Tongal community to find talented 3D artists that can help us bring this film to life! The success of any animated film relies heavily on the quality and creativity of its animation with 3D concept art playing an integral piece bringing depth and texture to initial sketches. The road to an amazing animated film is an iterative one and we want you along for the ride!

Tongal is looking for 3D concept artists to help develop some of the details of this new feature film. As they move from early sketches into the process of animation, they'll be looking for 3D concept art in areas such as:

  • Character Designs.
  • Prop Designs
  • Background and Set Designs
  • Effect Designs.

If you think you or your company could be useful in helping build out ANY of these categories in the 3D space, we encourage you to submit your portfolio of work. We're looking for these roles to help us in the pre-production phase of over the course of the next 5 months. Chosen artists will work closely with initial sketches provided by Tongal to translate those designs into complete builds that will help animators get to work. Ideally, we're looking for artists who may have worked on other large-scale animated projects so be sure to detail your past projects and your role in them.

Additionally, it would be great to show different iterations of your art (from rough concept to final design) to give Tongal producers an idea of your process, since multiple rounds of drafts and revisions are all part of the animated film fun.

For more information, please see Background/Additional Details below.
