Tara von Baron is a short film director originally hailing from Dallas, Texas. She graduated with an MFA from USCs film school as a Mary Pickford scholar where she directed the award-winning short film The Samurai of Strongsville, Ohio. After a stint abroad as a founding member of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, she returned to the U.S. where she has worked alongside prestigious television directors Mimi Leder, Bethany Rooney, and the Emmy-nominated Millicent Shelton. She is currently in production on several commercials and lives at home with her husband and two cats in sunny Silver Lake.
