LAUREN HOEKSTRA WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER In my final year of the UCLA Graduate Directing Program, I was appointed as Second Unit Director on Catherine Hardwickes film, Plush. Shortly after this, I was invited to direct one of eight short film adaptations of Robert Boswells Heyday Of The Insensitive Bastards for actor/director James Franco. Most recently, I acted as Production Co-ordinator on Tyler Shields film, Outlaw. I am a great fan of the Twilight saga films. After seeing the first one, I suddenly had a clear vision of the sort of films I wanted to make: female-driven stories combining love and romance with thrills and action. I am presently developing several stories along these lines.
