I went to school for Radio Television Film Communications and wound up winning 2nd place in a college video contest just after I got married. We took the money and moved to CA where I soon after got a job for a small (non-union) production company. I worked in the industry for about 5 years doing corporate, commercial and special event videos (every aspect, including editing, audio, lighting, writing, etc..) After I was rear-ended on the 405 & 101 interchange my back didn't allow me to continue to do a lot of the physical work I was doing for the small production company. I taught myself all about computers and changed careers and I'm now a Senior Developer.. (My wife and I moved back to the East coast soon after changing my career).. I love to do video work and I really hope I can win a contest so I can get a better camera as my HDV camera is SO noisy, even in loads of light!!
