I'm John Marius, a 33-year-old Air Force veteran from Newark, New Jersey. I'm half Haitian, half Black American, and a lifelong anime fan. Growing up, I rarely saw characters who looked like me, and I want to bring more Black representation to anime. I've been building Project Frisson: ROYGBV since I was a teenager. After losing his father in a car crash, a boy leaves his inner-city life behind, discovers his powers, and joins a black-ops organization hunting ancient masks of power. He battles inner demons, love, and new powers. The supporting cast gets deep arcs of their own, including a power couple whose story becomes one of the series' most tragic. Character deaths, reveals, and secrets build toward a grand scheme I believe will shock audiences. My military background shapes the tactical world, and my roots shape its heart. I believe this story can connect with fans in the U.S., France, Spain, and Brazil. I have two 8 min episodes with opening and closings ready to view!
