I grew up in Vancouver Canada and have lived in Bellingham, WA for the last seven years. From an early age I knew I wanted to work in the film industry and went on to study SFX makeup at the Blanche Macdonald School of Makeup in Vancouver BC. My ambitions quickly grew and I soon collaborated on projects with my husband, including a full-length feature film, The Taken, which I produced and later a three-minute short for the ABCs of Death competition, titled M is for Manny for which I had originated the story and also produced. Being dyslexic, I had an entire school career of failed English classes, and with that, countless teachers who reassured me Id never amount to anything if I didnt become better at reading and writing.
