Fran Masciantonio Bio - March 2020 Fran Masciantonio was a 1982 graduate of Shippensburg University with a BA in Communications. He was an all-conference left guard for the undefeated 1981 Shippensburg football team. He got his start in communications on WSYC in 1980. Fran’s early career included television and corporate video. But in 1990, he and his wife Gail (’82) started their own video production company, First Generation Video. After 20 years and watching FGV grow into a respected creative agency in central Pennsylvania, Fran and Gail sold the company in 2011 to Journal Publications. Over the next five years the company grew rapidly, doubling it’s revenues and full time staff. In October 2016 at the end of his contract, Fran launched their newest agency FX Digital Media, focusing primarily on video creative and digital advertising.
