About me

After being scouted by Wilhelmina Models at 17, Emily Gossett soon developed a stronger passion for behind-the-scenes, following working on the set of the film Miami Vice with director Michael Mann. While further igniting her passion for filmmaking and working extensively on multiple film sets, Gossett then created her first feature film at age 18, Lilly. While attending film school, she pushed the envelope and broke all the rules. Gossett created a controversial film that inspired several students and teachers, including the executive producer of Palm Beach Film School, Jim York. She paved the way for those who came after her to not live inside the box. Gossett was a role model for those who desired to stretch themselves. Her student film Convicted was used as the film to watch when entering the school. Palm Beach Film School recently became the International Academy of Film & Television Miami.
