2012 Hasselblad Masters Finalist, D.A.Wagner is a Brooklyn boy who took up photography after finding an old twin lens reflex roll film camera in the family attic. He promptly started taking pictures of rocks, wood, girls and subway stations, however not necessarily in that order. Cutting his teeth as an assistant with still life and photo illustration greats, David ventured into digital photography and special effects as a early pioneer in mid-1980s. He continues to shoot a range of still life, effects and illustration for stock and assignment. He now works out of a 10,000 square foot studio just outside the Lincoln Tunnel that he owns with his partner, Jose Pelaez.
