Where he's at David Bradburn grew up outside of Chicago in Elgin, Illinois, where he made his first films in high school, a collection of shorts and mock commercials he hoped would land on America’s Funniest Home Videos. ​ They didn’t. ​ Three decades later, his sense of humor is still intact and so is his love for telling stories. Now a Chicago-based director, producer, and recovering high school English teacher, Bradburn has created award-winning films that have screened at more than 80 festivals worldwide, aired on TV, and gotten just enough attention to make a middle child feel noticed. Whether it’s a gritty short, heartfelt documentary, or polished brand piece for clients like Kenmore and FOX, he brings equal parts craft, humor, and caffeine to every set. ​ When he’s not on set, he’s scheming the next one, because for this middle child, attention may be fleeting, but content is forever.
