Anders Øvergaard b. 1988 from Asker in Norway, started making films at the tender age of twelve, borrowing his fathers Hi8 camcorder learning the basic fundamentals of both photography, editing, and scriptwriting as he went along. He then majored in media and film in high school, and, while still in school, designed and built his own steadycam; the WalKam. The design proved to be so successful that Øvergaard started his own company, manufacturing the steadycams for customers in both Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Great Britain. Before turning 20, Øvergaard had made his first mini-series, Fortapt 2007, and sold over 70 steadycams, each made to order. At 20 years of age Øvergaard turned to studies in directing at Nordland College of Art and Film, graduating in 2009 with the short Contact, which won the award for Best Student Sci-Fi Short" at The International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival in Scottsdale, Arizona.
