The whole shebang: At just three-years-old, the offer of freedom within creativity revealed itself to Amy: inside the world of The Wizard of Oz, she realized that the landscape of filmmaking was endlessly vast; it was a space wherein she could have a hand in forging human connection, shaping ideas of beauty and possibility through visuals, sound and emotion. Storytelling through film was all-encompassing: though Amy always pursued the arts, with experience ranging from set design and darkroom photography to styling and acting, she understood that her position was at the helm of a productionas director. Amys first taste of seeing her work on the big screen was in elementary school, when she directed a mock commercial that aired at a big gala sponsored by Panasonic.
