About me

I grew up in Mexico-city and moved to Los Angeles to pursue undergraduate degree at Nineteen years old. After graduating from Cal-State Northridge in Los Angeles, I continued to work in film production in LA. Efficient as an electrician or gaffer at first, I realized after crewing for years that my passion for sculpting light was getting in the way of people thinking of me as a cinematographer. I felt, if I truly wanted to become a DP I would have to remain in a camera crew. That is where I have been since. I knew I needed to take my craft to the next level and pursued my MFA in cinematography from UCLA. After three years of studying my craft, I graduated last year and have been working camera dept since. In the time in between as a Director of Photography, I have also shot one low budget feature with John Ennis that is currently in postproduction. I have also been involved in three Rabbit Bandini Productions in which I have had the opportunity to shoot actors like Kate Mara, Amber Ta
