I first came across filmmaking at Yale, where I had initially planned to study politics, and it was basically love at first sight. Growing up in Mexico, I never thought of writing and directing films as a viable career, but after interning in LA for a summer, I finally realized, in spite of how much I detested LA traffic, that this was the treacherous life path I was meant to take. I began working as a PA, then coordinator on independent features, finally building my portfolio as a writer/director. My most recent film is "Travellers" for season two of Cornetto's Cupidity series, which won a Silver Lion at Cannes and was nominated for a Shots Young Director Award. Other past work includes branded content for clients such as IBM, American Express, Campbell's Chunky and SICO. In my spare time, you'll find me listening to books on Audible, running, rock climbing, or editing the thousands of vacation photos I can't wait to put on Flickr.
