Derek grew up in a log cabin in West Virginia and studied Film Production at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He spent five years living in Brooklyn while working in the film industry in NYC, and now works and resides in Los Angeles. Over the years, Derek has lit and shot everything from films, reality television, music videos, corporate interviews, and fashion photography.
