When we launched the first-ever Creative Camp on Tongal last summer, we knew we wanted to achieve 3 things:
CHALLENGE Tongalers to try something new
Give our creators a space to PLAY
And allow our community to CONNECT with one another in a novel way
We didn’t know if anyone would actually participate in our six “Just For Fun” projects, but you sure as heck did! And because it was such a success, we’re bringing it back for 2019 - with some new twists.
Starting today, we are once again rolling out six new projects over six weeks, but this time, the content we’re asking you to make - from GIFs to Videos to Short Stories - is grounded in what we think you’ll want to MAKE and what your peers will want to SEE. We’re hoping you’ll be inspired to create and that what you create will further inspire the rest of the Tongal community. Kind of a tall order, but we know you’re up for the task!
And while this is just for fun...part of the fun for us is in supporting our writers, filmmakers, and animators to continue to learn and grow. For that reason, we’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with MasterClass to offer some truly amazing awards to the creators of the most entertaining and thought-provoking submissions in each of the six challenges this year.
Not familiar with MasterClass yet? Founded in 2015, it all started with the idea that everyone should have "access to genius." The online education platform provides educational, inspiring, and engaging classes taught by the world’s greatest minds in cooking, film, writing, music, business and more. With more than 60 classes that dive into processes, techniques and philosophies, MasterClass.com helps students progress more rapidly towards their own mastery, explore new passions, and learn new skills.
Ready to dive in? Here’s a preview of what’s to come this summer:
We can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Drop us a comment and let us know what you think, or if you have any other fun suggestions for future community challenges.
